there is a section called spirituality and lore off the main page. It is a good place to start. Then posting questions would be step 2. Welcome in

Your question is unanswerable. There are as many answers as there are vampires. There are more theories and rumors going around than you would even imagine. There are theories from being born a vampire (I believe in this one), to turning, to symbionts, to viruses. I have forgotten most of them but, good gods, there are tons of them.

I can tell you what I believe a vampire is, but that is not sealed in, pardon the pun, blood. Who knows if I am correct?

    I shall answer for myself:

    1) I am an average sort of bloke other than the fact that I drink blood. I do not dress like a stereotypical vampire, I do not act life a stereotypical vampire, I do not have any sooper dooper powerz. Other than being pale, long black haired, and of Romanian Gypsy descent (if you think this sort looks vampiric), I do not look like a vampire. Most vampires you contact shall say the same (other than EMUL). If you go to the vampire sites you shall find more of them like me than those like EMUL.

    2) Summary of lifestyle: a vampire lifestyle is whatever lifestyle a vampire chooses. There are no set rules. Vampires are as diverse as non-vampires. I choose to live rather "average" whilst some choose to affect a more "goth" lifestyle.

The terminology: HLV (human living vampire), real vampire (a vampire living in real life), donor (one who gives blood or energy to a vampire), classical vampire (this one is up in the air), psychic vampire (vampire who feeds from psychic energy), sanguinarian vampire (one who feeds from blood), lifestyler (someone who chooses to live as close to Hollywood aesthetic as possible), black swan (supporter of a vampire), etc. etc. etc. etc. In other words, go look up some sites and learn for yourself.

What you should take from my post: go out and learn. You cannot come onto this forum or any other forum and get all the answers. Your questions are too broad for me, a very experienced vampire, to answer.

Learn a bit, come back, and ask more specific questions.

Most importantly: do not believe everything you read on the net. Not everyone tells the truth. Take what you read and decide for yourself what is the truth.

    Have fun.

The statement quoted is absolutely the most important statement you will read concerning the OVC. Take everything with a grain of salt.

then let me attempt to ask a more answerable question.

is there some sort of religion or moral code among vampire majorities?

because there's a sort of satanic shroud around the vampire legend and i wasn't sure if that was based in fact, or if the religious leaders of the middle ages just started such rumors to disassociat vampires from everyone els.

and if indeed vampires do exist, what does a real vampire think of the idea of werewolves. im not saying the whole physical alterations and fur growing face eaters of the movies. but what does a living vampire think of the werewolf realism ?
