So many people having bad days (weeks) here I am reading and seeing (I saw like the 4th one today here). Just wanted to say I'm sorry that this is happening to you. :( It'll get better. Hang in there. No where else to go but up.

Ah shit. I meant to put this in NMP. Er....

You won't notice the good times if it wasn't for the bad. Everything evens out in the end.

Always does... but then again that's the wonderful thing about life.
Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy.

A nice line of fun, half a tab of insensitivity, a lungfull of luck and a glass of milk with every breakfast.

Don't worry, I'm sure someone will come by to replace it any moment now.

Ah, there it is. Another thesis of mystical balance to make people accept feeling like crap instead of trying to solve their problems.

There exists no such balance. A problem solved is one problem less - another might show up, sure, but unless you keep causing them the number you'll get hit with is finite. Apply some intelligence and before long you might simply not have that many left. As for getting so low you cannot sink any further, you probably can and if you really cannot the next step is most likely a painful death. Good things don't necessarily come to you by waiting and hoping just because you 'deserve' a break from your current shitty life, unless you're very lucky you're going to have to seek them out.

As for enjoying the good better when you know the bad, that's only half of it. Yes, good things can get stale and you often need contrast to fully appreciate them. But the experience of life isn't a bipolar one with one good and one bad, it's the sum of countless experiences, all good or bad in different ways and to different degrees. There are many positive ones out there, and there is no reason to seek your variety with the unpleasant when you can easily contrast one enjoyable experience with the another of a different nature.

So thanks, but I'll pass on the 'suffering' bit.

You are all very welcome. I hope today was a little better.

I think that hope is very important. When people have it, they tend not to give up or get as easily discouraged. That light at the end of the tunnel is important.
