The power of belief

If you believe in god do you believe in him/her 100%
If you believe in any deity is it 100%
Or are you trying to hope theres one listening, it's not a dig at anyone. It's just a question, if you believe he/she is probably there for you. And maybe one day they will intervine, but doing so would disprove them. And so they don't, I don't believe in god the idea is sound but the idea became the institution.
I believe in me, and no can take that away from me.
Not even a god!
So I ask again
What do you believe in?

It doesn't matter how down I get, the sense that there is Someone won't stay away for long. Even if it all turns out to be an illusion it doesn't matter if it helps me to become a better person and provides comfort.
I don't expect divine intervention, but feel I have received it when I was NOT expecting it. I don't think God deals in things Of the Earth, but rather spiritual things, feelings and inner strength. That's why I'm fairly sure he won't be buying me a Mercedes-Benz.

"Believe" -- as opposed to "Know" -- seems to me to imply a certain degree of "faith," even if it's only faith in one's own ability to examine evidence dispassionately and reach a reasonable conclusion as to what that evidence supports and what conclusions may be plausibly drawn from it. But perhaps that might be inferring more from the question than was intended. So, tossing semantics and philosophic hypotheticals to the winds...
I believe in the seemingly infinite capacity of the human mind to devise both pleasant and unpleasant subjective delusions and to convince itself that they are objective Reality. And I also believe in the capacity of some minds to recognise the illusory nature of their own creations and then use them instead of being used by them.

I believe in what I have "seen" and experienced, this is 100%. My speculation, no it is not 100%. The name to me I do not even consider important.

I've seen enough already to know that there is someone listening. and often speaking. but, no, i cannot really say that i have actually had a normal regular conversation with (the) god as with others. I have done some things, directed words to god, etc however. And for those i have "spoke" with, they really seemed to be more intent on getting me *away* from the whole idea of god and the belief in it. Someone close to me is like this, but they understand me enough not to try to force things on me. Which i appreciate.
For me a lot of my reasoning is in the order which has came about. To stop and think and see how so many things, meeting others and the like...all of it...it seems very directed to me. ( what more can i say? ) Moving towards a purpose, a direction. Very strange, can't quite put my finger on it always either. :)

I don't think the type of god I consider would wish to take that away from me anyway. Quite the opposite. But, yes, my concept of god has evolved considerably from whence it came. To the point where I see the same direction to take regardless of the existence of god. I do not see how it is really anything to get hung up on, or that should be a road block so to speak. Such things should be constructive rather than destructive.

Like I said before, I don't need to know facts because I simply live on faith and I am comfortable with that.

This may annoy/insult people in this forum, I don't intend to mind you, but I believe 100% that Jesus was not the son of God, I used to be Christian, but now I have 'left' I will never look back.

I believe, one hundred per cent, in the necessity of balance between order and disorder - although I know that neither truly exist, being defined by a human worldview, I believe that they have to be on an even keel within that worldview, so that your workable worldview is as close to the truth as it's safe to be.
I believe in the flow of energy through matter.
I believe in a thing called love. (sorry)

He is very real, very sincere, and very much the imbodiment of my worship. I look him in the eye everyday and am thankful to have him in my life. Do you know where I see him? Where you can see him? IN THE MIRROR!!
Hail Satan!!!
