Tempted by sex? Absolutely. Could hardly claim to have been tempted in every way if he wasn't.

Had sex outside of marriage? That is sin, so he could not be the Christ and do that. Lust after someone to masturbate outside of marriage? Also sin.

I think the best argument against his having a wife as we think of it is that marriage is a symbol of the union of Christ and all those who believe. It seeks disingenuous for him to carry out a lesser symbol that represents himself.

Did Jesus have a wife? Maybe. Either he had a wife and probably children, or he lived the hermetical life of a prophet with only his diciples. Does it really matter to me either way? Not as anything more than an interesting question. There is plenty of historical, scientific (I mean based outside of religious interpretations) evidence for both sides. If Jesus was married and had children, the obvious problem would be that he may have decendants to this day, so that there are groups of people with Jesus's very diluted blood in them alive right now. Definitely puts a different spin on that Children of God thing.

This is getting off topic, but, do you mean to say that the only legitimate marriages are Christian? Just think about that for a second.

"The historical person"

No such thing outside of religious writings.

Do you ever say anything different in discussions on Christianity?

That's not what I'm saying at all. I am saying that marriage, the union between a man and a woman where-by the two become one, is a human symbol of the union between Christ and Christians, where-by the two become one.

Every marriage is that same symbol, whether they believe it or not.
