Oksy you can select up to four villains in each catagory *if you have that many* (if you don't have one in a catagory not a problem)

1: Tv cartoons

2: Anime

3: Disney animated movies

4: Other animated movies

1) sorry, don't watch too much animated stuff that's not anime
2) Vegeta, Kid Buu. both DBZ. Of course Vegeta wasn't a really good character until he turned good, but...
3) Jafar from Alladin. I know. Lame.
4) Unless CGI counts, (at which point it's the General in "the spirits within") I'll say someone from "Justice League", no idea who, though.

CGI counts as animated, also stop motion puppetry and claymation.

For me.

1: TV cartoon
*Megatron (Transformers, every incarnation except Beast Machines)

*Shredder (all incarnations)

*Mumm-Ra (both incarnations)

*Serpentor (GI Joe)

2: Anime

*Witch of the Wastes (Howl's Moving Castle)

*Zebaba (Spirited Away)

*The female general from (Naussica and the Valley of the Winds)

(I am iffy on them, as their status as villains is also iffy, that's the thing with anime; they tend to give villain types these motives and tagic histories that makes it hard to classify them as villains. Most the anime I watch tends to either not have a real villain, or they are the opposite and so over the top and out of no where that I just want them dead for disturbing the show like the villains in Slayers. Rezo I kind of pitied but wasn't intimidated, and Copy Rezo was just annoying, everything else since has been crazy monsters or annoying gods)

3: Disney animated movies

*Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

*Jafar (Alladdin & the sequal)

*The Horned King (Black Cauldron)

*Shera Khan (Jungle Book)

4: Other animated movies

*The evil book (Care Bears Movie)
(I know weird, considering I hate the fricken care bears, but the book in the movie had a style to it that i liked)

*Tirek (My Little Pony 1984 pilot), okay over the top, cliche, but old enough to get away with it. Plus have to love giving such a contrast between the "good guys" and "bad guy"

(Guess I can say the same for the Care bear movie) Just so left field to have these insanely dark demonic enemies fighting these prissy little skittles.

which also applies to my only other one...which is anime...damn it..
(I had written this whole bit on no anime villains impressing me and while typing I keep thinking of some, the Baron from Unico...but I didn't know it was anime when I watched so passing, and besides not sure I liked him or just how much he contrasted the show.

but *All the villains in The Last Unicorn, just so delightfully dark for such a show.

also add *Queen Chrysalis from the My Little Pony FiM Canterlot Royal Wedding special (two parter, so counting it like a movie). Mostly for the same reason for being so delightfully dark in contrast to the heroes.

You are adding them to yours? or recommending them to me because of the whole contrast thing?

Well I didn't care for Dark Fire, she was just a shallow dark twin type character. and Slade is just Deathstroke with some demon stuff added. Teen Titans wasn't overly bright and cheery, and the villains weren't beyond what would be expected so no real surprises.

Its not just the contrast, they need that special something and personality that appeals to me on some level of "villain" Dark Fire was just a spoiled brat and Slade's motives were kind of creepy...really needed Bat-man to have shown up and bitch slapped him.

I was adding them to mine. That's why I didn't add Tri-gon. He's a stereotypical demon.
And anime is a problem. Like, does Sesshomaru count as a villain? Antagonist, yes, but not really a villian. Menomaru was a much better "villian".

And yes, Batman should have shown up and bitch-slapped Slade.

Okay.

Yeah its the problem I have with anime, its hard to think of too many real villains who arn't either anti-hero characters or end up with development that makes you double think of them as good, bad, or just a different view point from the good guys. But I rather like that idea, an antagonist that isn't just some pure evil enemy.

On the other end anime gives us those villains, who are sometimes behind manipulating the guy you thought was the villain but you didn't see till the end and just as quickly becomes this over the top destroy the world monster or something.

I can only really comment on the first and last sections as I've never watched any animé or Disney movies (and for my purposes I'll assume that "other animated movies" includes puppetry):

TV Villains: Baron Greenback from Dangermouse, and Cardinal Richelieu from Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.

Other Animated Movie Villains: You can't get any better than the Skeksis in The Dark Crystal.

Land Before Time is a Don Bluth movie.

You know, I wanted to put Nightmare Moon, but because I love Princess Luna, wasn't sure if I could consider her a villain though, well yes as Nightmare Moon in the pilot.

Heh, Team Rocket, from *dim wit trio* to stepping up their game in recent years. Guess kids need real villains these days.

I had gotten curious thanks to talk on another forum and checked out an episode of the newest Pokemon series, and holy shit man, Team Rocket had seriously stepped up their game.

Okay I totally forgot about Reboot, I have to include Hexidecimal as one of my favorite villains. I heard that they intended to bring her back before the show was cancelled, and if they ever get their animated movie (supposedly to tie up the cliff hanger from the series) she'll be in it.
