The news said that dog's don't have feelings.... That is a load of crap... Of course the have feelings! I feel like I want to punch those people in the face for saying that.

What kind of idiotic news caster were you watching, and why would they say that?

It was the nightly national news. They said that because. When you come home and find things teared up. That they don't feel guilty.

That may be true.  Guilt requires an understanding that you did something wrong.  Unless you've trained them to not do that, they won't know that they aren't supposed to do that, and may even think it's playing.  I've seen people who "play" with their dogs by letting the dog bite their arm, then pretending to try and get loose.  They are then surprised when the dog does that with a stranger.  Or they play with one of those rope toys, then wonder why the dog won't let go of the pants they're carrying.

Dogs do have feelings though, emotional as well as pain.  Anyone who's ever had one as a pet knows that.

The news is so full of opinions and "research" that amounts to checking Wikipedia that its hardly worth even considering a valid source of information anymore.

It could be partially done with some form of corporate control, but the gov would still have ultimate control.  Rhuen's right.  Start your own country if you want.  Best I could think of.

Dear Japan: why must you make Anime that makes me feel uncomfortable to laugh at while watching? Plus make me feel the need delete from my browser history, youtube history or whatever, as a safety measure for any future legal or political background checks into me? I have a conspiracy theory that Japan is trying to get its younger teens interested in sex with this stuff to compensate for their decreasing birthrate, and that weird cultural bit where many will give up completely if they fail on the first try. They even have a term for people like this in the love department “Herbivores” Japanese pun by the way “(sexually active is like “interested in the flesh” so close to (Carnivore), in their language apparently). Some of these folks will even buy pillows and treat them as girlfriends (seriously go on dates with them and everything).

PS: This tendency to make a million teen sex comedies (ecchi) for television and then call the adults who enjoy them perverts and pedophiles is the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me; I mean they made the damn things, mixed in a ton of almost tentacle rapes (tentacle gropes), panty shots, clothes being ripped off, and have it involving 12-15 year olds. Hence why I think it’s a government sponsored conspiracy; kind of like how American cartoons circa Post WWII through Vietnam and such were awfully pro (Soldier, and joining a team with a clear hierarchy of command, with lessons that focused mainly on team work).

*Should also note depending on region of Japan the sex age consent laws are a bit dicey, in some so long as they aren’t nude (nipples and genitals exposed), and there is no intercourse it’s okay to grope your underage girl/boy friend, and even take pictures of them in provocative costumes and sell those on the internet (there apparently is even a business for this “Idols”; which is intended to sell to their own age group; another bolt in the Japanese wanting teens to fuck each other government conspiracy) but they know creepy older guys and women will buy them too.

I think it's backfiring.  They get interested in stuff that isn't real, and the real stuff isn't interesting to them anymore.

If they really wanted to get teens to start sleeping together, they'd make teen movies like Hollywood does.  Maybe someone should get a station in Tokyo to play "American pie" dubbed in Japanese to test that theory.

70% of Japan's television and movie industry is animated; dubbed foreign movies wouldn't likely come across as anymore "real" than animation.

Both are illusions, just one uses live filmed actors, the other their voices over drawings and computer graphics.

Wiimote: I took that latex protective covering thing off the Wiimote (mine came with it on the Wiimote), and tossed it aside shortly after I bought the thing, and set it on some papers by the computer, forgetting about it. The shape and texture was uncomfortable when playing the games, too slippery, bulbous, and edges caught my finger nails. Any who, the point is I looked down from my computer here many months later and saw it sitting there, late at night working on the computer and I thought, “what is that thing?” I picked it up and first thought was, “where’d this weird sex toy come from, did I buy this and forget…oh…its that wii remote thing.” Turned it around in my hands wandering about its shape, ribbed texture, and odd holes, like what weird vibrating nightmare did this go to? (hold it with the button hole side down looking at the back, it came back to me turning it over like…oh right, but the other side and tired…I thought it slipped on something.

Dreams: I love it when my dreams cut out the symbolism and metaphor shit and just explain things. I have had dreams where I am in a library, this weird stone well with glowing waters and a mirror, sitting in an office, a throne room, ect… where a character (in my case usually Rhulan, Misaline, Claire, Hollia, or Rhuen, also sometimes this shadowy cat, or this massive black vines with red crystals embedded in it like a million eyes eldritch abomination, once in a great while it’s a dragon or a fox) just sits down and explains things to you.

Usually its stories, or quantum mechanics theories, or advice on life, cultural stuff, its like lessons and listening to a story teller; other times observing.

However most my dreams are exploring and what not. I remember when I worked at Goodwill I was having these weird dreams every so often; usually when I was having money problems I had these dreams where Goodwill was in the middle of a desert and I was going in there and staying. The obvious symbolism being a world of uncertainty and sticking with a safe “bet” even if its below what I feel I should have, instead of going back out into the desert and continuing on.

Those dreams started to have skeletons and the clothes become zombies and such; my brains way of saying “dead end job” my brain isn’t very subtle. It gave up on that apparently after a few years and I had a dream where the Juggernaut from Marvel Comics, only with black armor, came into the store and was surprised to see me there; and asked what I was doing working there.

Then came that time when my car was hit by a deer, got a new vehicle, but with such poor gas mileage that the drive to work in another city was too draining (at the time the idea of disconnecting my cable and/or home internet did not occur to me as an option) so I was having to borrow money to pay for gas. I had a dream I never told anyone as it was what prompted me to give a two weeks notice without having another job lined up. Ended up doing temp jobs, (huge mistake, but not related to this). Also worth noting is this was also right after I had been passed over for a promotion which was given to someone who had worked there less than half the time I had. I interviewed for the position.

So recap: Job I didn’t like, condescending asshole customers on a daily basis, passed over for a promotion I needed given to someone with less experience but a sunnier attitude I guess, interviewed by random main office guy who didn’t even know how long I had been working there, seriously he admitted to this later after I ran into him at a different store as a customer sometime after I had quit; any who, add in borrowing money driving a vehicle between cities each day and….terrifying dream. I was told in no uncertain terms by Rhulan in a mirror “I put up with this shit for six years, gave you plenty of symbolic dreams, pushes to actively look for a better job, I am sick of this shit. Either you quit or so help me the next time we have a condescending oil stain stinking asshole customer I am going to take over your body and strangle the son of a bitch.”

Now I told that story to tell this one: I had a similar dream the other night. What with these one or two day weeks during the off season here I am making crap for paychecks. I walked into the theater, it was dark, and Rhulan was sitting in a seat. I said to her, “Let me guess you want me to quit this job,”

And surprisingly she just (she was eating popcorn by the way from a bucket we don’t sell, like a classic red and white stripped bucket) turned nonchalantly and said, “eh, just fill out some applications for a second job. Let’s wait till Guardians of the Galaxy and Godzilla have come out, then let’s talk if we don’t have another job after that…seriously tickets are eight bucks a pop and we get to watch these for free…”

*not in those exact words, it was more…weird, like two sentences at the same time spoken as instant recognition of data, like a digital signal rather than analogue*

So yeah….scary ass inner voices can be bribed with free movie tickets…why the hell not. But the tolerance for these low paychecks is wearing thin. I also don’t know why they had us on such few hours this week; this week was the local community college’s spring break; you’d think with 300-2 in the theaters and such they’d need some more people in the evenings.
