What do you know about the lore where the progenitor's death destroys the curse of all descending from him?

Other than that such curses typically fail at lasting past a generation, not much.

Vampire lore? Heard that one several times, with numerous variations. Sometimes the curse is completely lifted, other times the descendants have to not have taken life nor human blood to be cured.

I'm not sure but I thought I also heard it in reference to Werewolf curse.

I was referring to curses that were unrelated to vampires/werewolves. However, most wouldn't use a progenitor curse for those. It'd be far more effective to just outright curse the bloodline.

the bible's got a couple i think. the biggest one i can remember is that adam and his bloodline was cursed to return to the dust from whence they came.
