Are there any paranormal investigation or study groups or organizations in your area? Any sort of official or unofficial group of any sort? What do you talk about? What do you do?
If there isn't one in your community, do you think it would be something you would join if there was? What's stopping you from starting one yourself?
I recently saw a flyer at a bus stop in my community that was advertising a meeting for a Paranormal Study Organization. I'm going to go to the first meeting. I'm actually pretty excited about it. I'll post here again and tell you what it was like.

Hi Holiday,
Have you been to the first meeting yet? What was discussed? Did the people there seem to take it seriously and have genuine interest or were they there for a laugh?
Just a bit excited about your findings... We don't have any such clubs here so all my attempts at research a solo.

I went to the meeting. It's a really scientific group that encourages the scientific method and respectful debate. They have already gotten permission to spend the night researching some sites of reported paranormal activity.
It's interesting, I just don't have the time.
And if your town or city doesn't have a group- start one!

Well, these aren't really paid jobs. It's a volunteer thing, sort of. You do it on your own time, with your own resources, and your own money. Well, most of them anyway. There aren't too many paid positions to be a ghost hunter.
If you want to create a paranormal study group in your community, go for it. Research some reported sites of paranormal activity in your area, you might be surprised at how many there are close to you. Put up flyers around your community, bus stops, the library, etc., and set up an email for them to contact you. Set up a Facebook group, those work too. Set up a research expedition to one of the sites, and gather data.
I don't really know all the logistics of studying paranormal activity, but I don't believe this information would be too hard to find. There should be resources and information online, I would imagine there would be a great deal of sites dedicated to this sort of thing.
Here is one article on How to Study Paranormal Phenomena.
Even if it doesn't seem like a group is coming together, you can research paranormal activity on your own or just with friends of yours who share your interest. I think it would be neat if we had Darkness members go on paranormal study expeditions at local sites in their area and report back here.

Actually there is a group of such listed at my college and my own English teacher is actually a member. I however am not truly interested in joining.
Mainly because "official" groups of such like to take an unbiased approach. When I am in my research mode I am unbiased, but once I reach the stage of "awareness" in my research then I conclude with my opinion. In other words my opinion is way too valuable to me then to join any group no matter how facinating they may be.
