So i have absolutely no idea if anyone here even plays world of warcraft, but its worth a try!
I am currently about to make myself a new priest with the focus on shadow, but its going to be my first horde to lvl 80 so i am not sure about race, as far as i can tell it comes down to:
Troll or Blood elf, anyone have any input?
(Hope anyone here actually plays WoW...)

I play WoW! What you want to do is look at each racial ability, each race has it's own, just pick which one you prefer. Or you could go by looks like most people, personally I think blood elves are hot ;)
Blood Elf racial abilities:
Arcane Affinity
Enchanting skill increased by 10.
Arcane Torrent
Silence all enemies within 8 yards for 2 sec and restores 6% of your Mana. Non-player victim spellcasting is also interrupted for 3 sec.
Magic Resistance -
Reduces the chance you will be hit by spells by 2%.
Also, in my opinion blood elves have one of the best starting areas.
Troll racial abilities:
Berserking
Increases your attack speed by 20% for 10 sec.
Regeneration
Health regeneration increased by 10%. 10% of total Health regeneration may continue during combat.
Beast Slaying
Damage dealt versus Beasts increased by 5%.
Throwing Specialization
Your chance to critically hit with Throwing Weapons is increased by 1%
Bow Specialization
Your chance to critically hit with Bows is increased by 1%.
Da Voodoo Shuffle
Reduces the duration of all movement impairing effects by 15%. Trolls be flippin' out mon!

I heartily recommend Blood Elf, if all you're interested in is stats. Racials are useful for a low-level mana-hogging Priest, and as a bonus, their initial zones are pretty good fun. Mandatory group quest at the end's a bit of a sucker, but as a healing class you shouldn't have worlds of trouble sorting a group out for it.
If you want to look good, though, female Undead is where it's at. There isn't a spellcasting pose in their set that isn't rock-awesome.
