This link states that our galaxy makes a full revolution [approximately] every 65 million years. Sources suggest that we are approaching that point and that, also, it has been found by scientists doing fossil research that this mark is approaching rather soon, albeit 2012? I'd like your input.

The evidence for the assertions made on that site is to put it mildly rather thin...

I survived Y2K, West Nile, Post 9/11 Hysteria, June 6, 2006, SuperAIDS, SARS, Avian Flu, and I even got Swine Flu and survived that. I'm not afraid of 2012.

self fullfilling prophesy . . . sometimes I just wonder if people just talk themselves into this view of what others tell them it will be because it's easy, accesable, so much imformation like it out there so it must be true . . .

Scientists say a lot of things. Did you know to much or too little coffee can give you cancer?. And conspiracy theorists aren't much better. Basically whatever happens, happens. We can't stop it so don't worry about it. Your supposed to be living everyday like it was your last anyway.

    Fuck yeah! The end wooo!

... anyhow. Yes, Matt. People are. Why do you even have to ask?

Man, like I was watching Conspiracy Theory on TV, they were saying something about a group who is trying to kill more than half of humanity's population with biological weapons because they can't control us. Then the Mayan Calendar. There was also something about there possibly being a micro black hole within the earth where the entrances are the Dragon's and the Bermuda Triangle. . . . Then the Nostradamus Prophecies, and not to mention the Bible. . . so yep, we are going to die.

2012 is one of the most interesting and debatable topics there are. Thousands of people from different backgrounds always try to say something different. People interpet Nostradamus as having predicting something cataclysmic during this time when he never gave a date or time. Nor did Edgar Cayce. The bible never makes a direct reference to this particular time. In fact, the only culture that has is the Myans. I'm not saying they are right or wrong, but does it really matter? It's a controversial subject that can't be explained. There is much like that.

I personally thing that all doomsday prophecies are dumb. 2012 is pretty bad too. I've heard people talk about the mayans as if they had some magic powers. They were really good with math and astronomy. They didn't even get the correct start date for earth. The calendar doesn't even stop in 2012, it's merely the end of what they called a baktun. It's like freaking out about the month ending. Ancient Mayans celebrated the end of baktuns and modern Mayans are not concerned. There's no indication that the Mayans thought something bad might happen.

This myth has got to stop. While I agree there may be some type of apocalyptic event between now and 2020 for example I do not think it is a catastrophe or E.L.E. This hype about 2012 being 'the end of the world' is mostly played up by people who haven't done enough research or that HAVE and are twisting the worlds around

December 21, 2012 is not just the end of 'any other month' either. It is a very special galactic event. Some say that The Blue Star the Hopi talk about in their own prophecy to the end times might be a precursor or after effect of this alignment.

Whatever the case may be however there is no reason to take it lightly. It is not like Y2K or any of the other end dates we've received for the simple fact we have an astronomically advanced civilization pointing to it, along with others pointing to the same time frame.

For those chasing a white rabbit: you might want to explore Terrence McKenna's Time Wave Zero. It is essentially a pattern within the I Ching that shows the rise and fall of Novelty in the current time line. At 2012 it flat lines for some reason. David Wilcock (another hack) makes reference to this when speaking about an Extra-Terrestrial chair tested on by the government. In reference to the Montauk project. Supposedly the chair is used as a conduit between your consciousness and space/time. So when you think it--you resonate with that area--and your there. Anyway this also apparently worked for going through time. It's safe to assume then many of these UFOs may be piloted by inter-dimensional beings or ones from other dimensions. When they asked the ones being used to pilot the chair to go to 2012 .. well.

You can find more out there.
