In the not so distant future psychic ability and connection to the paranormal/occult is not so far fetched. UFO sightings and supernatural experiences have sky rocketed in the last decade and you and yours are seriously considering taking a deeper look into things you generally scoffed at in public. The political, economic, and social domains fair no better with the chaos apparently being wrought upon the world and, 'as usual' everything seems to be falling apart at the seams.

Except you feel strange. As one of many to harrow 'The Return' it is your time to create a trail. You have established an intristic connection to one other or many realms. How these dimensions affect you corresponds to your personality and will but remember it must be a natural one. Jumping forward or straying too far behind in such a story can be fatal for your character as well as others. It will be a long journey be sure to have your wits about you.

OOC: This story is based around Shamanism and Transhumanism. Any use of historical occult knowledge or original should be explained at least a little bit. At least a little. I would like to move away from Godmodding in this story as there will probably be the use of Gods as mothers/fathers to many of the OCs. I'd imagined it was based on current Earth, so there are no special races, just normal humans being effected by the paranormal or the dropping of the Veil.
