Politicians that support human rights. Bet you never thought you would see that.

No this is not a joke and no you are not dreaming. These guys are for real and we need to support them.

Here is the Canadian Pirate Party for those who want to offer some support in the frozen north. http://pirateparty.ca/

I like the Green Party, myself. :) Although they may never take hold in this backward colony. *sighs*

    Purple party > Green party.

I support the communist party but it is clear that they won't make it far. To many people think communism is bad because of the Soviet Union and China. The pirate party seems like it might have a chance so I think I am going to jump on the band wagon.

If I had the right to vote here, I'd vote for the pirates. I'm a huge fan, and I think it's hilarious that they actually exist, they even got into the EU board this election.

The main thing they've been criticized for though, which makes them hard to vote in as rulers, is that it's a typical one-cause party. They have no other agendas whatsoever than to protect our right to privacy, mainly online.

And I love swedish surnames, they're beautiful. Richard Falkvinge. Falcon Wing.

A-ha, so you've got a Pirate Party in Canada now too.
I didn't vote for the Pirates, even if I agree with them, but many of my mates did. Hopefully they will grow a little stronger, scare the established parties by "stealing" their votes and thereby force them to change their policies (FRA, IPRED), if they don't want to lose more votes.

It's up to you to start the Norwegian pirate party. With your charm I am sure you can get people interested and if that fails i'll bring cookies.

You could also support the Norwegian communist party. They have shown support for the pirate community in the past.

I did a report on the pirates party about a year and a half ago. It got thrown back in my face because my Econ and Gov teacher told me "They aren't a real party". I got a good laugh out of it, because I finished the report in less than a 4th of the time we had to do them.

That's even more a challenge for Clear than usual, considering she's not in Norway and hasn't been for almost two months.

I live in Sweden, so like Creach said, that'll be hard. And I'll make a poor politician since I mumble and hate crowds. :)

But I voted for the commies for years, I felt like someone should. Lately though, I've kept my votes for the only serious party who's dared to make a stand towards the huge immigration issues Norway has.

What party is that? The only party that comes on my mind when I think "Norwegian political party" and "immigration issues" is Fremskrittspartiet, but I doubt they'd get your votes.

Actually, they have. :) I agree with a lot of what they say, and the rest...every other serious party has proven beyond a doubt that they can't run this country if their life depended on it, much less keep a promise (We're STILL waiting for your letter of resignation, Kristin Halvorsen!). Might aswell give the odd kid out a chance to try. It can't get worse.

It's same in Sweden; none of the established parties can run this country. Well, if you'd ask me, no party ever could. That's why I rather keep my votes in the parliament elections, and just vote in the regional and communal elections.
Maybe FRP are not as bad as Sverigedemokraterna in Sweden but Carl I. Hagen's statements are similar to Jimmie Åkesson's, and from my point of view their conservative and neo-liberal values weights more than their good values. I'd stick to the commies, although I'm not even a communist. But you have my respect whatever you vote for, Clear :-)
