It's spectacularly average and is about as excitingly paranormal as Wicca. Don't bother unless you're a die hard X Files fan and want to see Mulder and Scully do this whole 'Give it up!' 'No I won't!' charade for an hour and a half.

The X-Files series was fantastic, mostly. I had hoped the movie would be amazing. I think it should've been less religiously preachy and more paranormal or something. I guess it was a little, but not where I had wanted them to take it.

i had always found the series to be a bit too dull. i can't really recall any single episode that i can remember the plot. all of them were very dull. at least most sci fi shows you can recall what the plot of the singular episodes were. xfiles was just humdrum

It really pissed me off how there was hardly anything paranormal. Even then it was ambiguous whether it actually was or not. If it hadn't have been an X Files film, I probably would have liked it more....wait no, I probably wouldn't. The whole 'centre on their troubled relationship' thing coupled with all that annoying talk about 'the darkness' was truly lame.
I wanted some freaky humanoid psychopathic aliens, dammit.

I stopped likeing the show after they decided that everything paranormal could be linked back to aliens, and the movie happened after that, so. I didn't care for the first one, and wasn't going to bother with the second one either.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't really like the movie. I loved the series.. Except when Doggett came into the picture. Did not like that character much. But yeah, I was also wanting to see some really paranormal/alien stuff, but nooo..
