Kid Icarus had one on the black and white game boy.
I would really like to see a new one for the Wii as long as they don't screw it up.
I would also like to see a sequel to XIII. They had the cliff hanger ending and just never made another one. Perfect Dark is another one that would be great.

I would have said "Nights" which came out way back on the Sega Saturn, and had a demo christmas tape for the dreamcast.
but it seems some ten odd years later the Wii has a sequal for it.
I'd say Okami
needs a sequal, the game left off on a cliff-hanger, and it felt un-finished (heck didn't even get all the same powers the evil fox clone of the main character had). But with Clover Studio gone I would have said no way, but they released a revised version of the game for the Wii, so who knows.
did Altered Beast have a sequal? if not I could see a much more involved game made from that concept.
despite my love for SRPGs and some fighting games, most of them I feel don't need or shouldn't have sequals for the sake of having sequals. especially the RPGs, as true sequals either have to be a different game (a new generation) or come up with some lame excuse to start your character(s) back over to level 1.

With the advent of large memory storage I've always said there should be a RPG game series that uses the same file format and same characters so you can tackle the second and subsequent games with the same gear you finished the first game with.

um, if your not talking about those specific games, then this sort of thing does exist. All of the baulder's gate games work together as far as character exportation, all of the icewindale games do too, they might work with baulder's gate but I never tried. Now with never winter nights, and never winter nights 2 you can see the same thing again, you can save your favorite character and play through all the custom content all you like...(unless your computer is like mine and crashes the game when you try to access characters in the server vault). An added bonuse with the nwn/nwn2 stuff is you get free online play with persistant worlds that people have privately put to gether...

I'm not talking about PC games with expansion packs which are not truly another game.
I'm talking about console games that are true sequels.

No, it's not an MMORPG. MMORPG stands for, and try and follow me on this one, I know it can be difficult to grasp *eye roll* Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. So what Jason described would only involve the last three words. It wouldn't be Multiplayer, or Online, ergo not an MMORPG.

i understand what you're saying but PC games are where that primarily goes. look at some of the older PS1 games. the sequel came out on PS2. the number of items you'd have to be able to store and track would be a bit for a single disc i imagine. never really looked into the storage on a disc before.
besides, with newer games even the starting crap you get is usually better then what you had at the endgame before

it would be freaky to get expansion packs on console RPGs, adding new levels with new baddies, like a continuation of other RPGs with out starting over at zero to start,

now that i think about it it wouldnt be that hard. look at sony. you can download and save on the drive. would be a good reason to get the larger storage drives

For a very long time River City Ransom did not have a sequel, and then they came out with River City Ransom EX for the Gameboy Advance. RCREX SUCKS ASS. You start the game with all the gear, money, and skills you need to beat the game. They need to make a proper sequel.

They need a proper sequel to final fantasy tactics as well... there is two now or soon to be two but they fucked them up by adding the law system making it so you can't use certain skills, weapons or types of magic in a fight; which is enough of a pain in the ass for me to have lost complete interest when the first one is my favorite game.

It did. Project Altered Beast for the PS2
Also: Altered Beast: Guardian of the Realms for the GBA, which stayed more true to the arcade version.

Psi-Ops.. The game ended with a to be continued. Unfortunately it didn't do so well, so I think the sequel got canned. It was a lot of fun, I love telekinesis in games. Of course, of all that have had it, Bioshock still takes the cake

just for the hell of it, lets do a sequal to "Wrecking Crew" or "Gyromite".

(yes that is Mario, would be an interesting addition to the Mario series to do a sequal to it)

(now for this one I was inspired because the new Smash Bros has the robot for this game as a character) yep this game was one of the earlies attempts to get people to buy extra junk for their system like a little robot that held the second controller).

Yeah they are working on a sequel for Assassin's Creed. I think if they didn't, there would be a lot of angry fans at their door. I was pissed when I got to the end.. I was like "Fuck yeah! Powers as the douche character! I'm gonna go kick some bad dude a- ooooh it's over..." Half of the team that worked on it are working on the new Prince of Persia game, which looks simply amazing. I know that the roof hoping, wall running and everything else are going to be good with that development team.
