A little poetry about love...

Love how sweet its embrace

Until all too often it begins to fade

It leaves you loveless, listless and alone

When all that you loved is dead and gone

The weeks become months, the months become years

As your life becomes shrouded in sadness and tears

You lose all hope for a better tomorrow

While you slowly begin to drown in your sorrow

The pain inside keeps your emotions at bay

While your sanity slips further and further away

Until finally you reach the end of your rope

And your life has become nothing but a sad and cruel joke

Now the things you once cared for lose all meaning

As you’re consumed by darkness while quietly seething

You can’t help but think back to the love you have lost

And know now full well its life changing cost

So to all who would love, and be loved the same

Remember this story of unparalleled pain

Always be true to the ones that you love

Lest you too should find misery you can’t rise above

And become much like me in these perilous days

After having lost loves sweet embrace...
