that's the most famous Lochness monster photo.
Its the photo that began the whole idea that the lochness monster is a plesiosaur.
before it was taken the lochness monster was viewed mostly as either a serpent or a Kelpie.
many now claim the photo was a hoax, but a very famous hoax.

not sure of the specific date. I think it was somewhere in the 1930's.

deep sea Atlantic fish I believe. Only comes near the surface when its dieing.
