Okay an image thread for lake and sea monster.

now okay rather than starting this puppy off with the usual digimon filler, I can't in good concious start a thread like this with out doing the real classic first

you're kidding right?

that's the most famous Lochness monster photo.

Its the photo that began the whole idea that the lochness monster is a plesiosaur.

before it was taken the lochness monster was viewed mostly as either a serpent or a Kelpie.

many now claim the photo was a hoax, but a very famous hoax.

the odd part is that Nessie is mentioned in some very old reports, middle ages type reports.

not sure of the specific date. I think it was somewhere in the 1930's.

deep sea Atlantic fish I believe. Only comes near the surface when its dieing.

I remember hearing about that turtle in a JRR Tolkien poem.

A recently proven monster. Previously scoffed and poo-pooed.



THese things are supposed to be able to get as big as cars. THey drown a lot of people in the rivers here.


Anybody know about the supposed mermaid sea monster?
Was it a hoax? Any pictures?
