For years now I have been having off-the-wall dreams about random events taking place, only to find the next day or a few days later, whatever it was happens in real life. There is no real pattern as to when I have the dreams or in the type of event that takes place or the people that are involved. Along with this, I also have MANY Déjà vu moments. They can range in occurrence from once a week to several within a day.
Is there anyone else out there who has experienced this and can give me some advice? Is it possible my psyche is trying to get my attention and tell me things, clue me into something(s) my life has to offer?
Replies are appreciated!

If you want to study it more one idea is to keep both a dream diary and a journal. Record both regularly. This way you can go back and look for things after you have a deja vu moment., etc. Sometimes deja vu type feelings are actually consciously forgetten dreams.
Also in the morning (or whenever you awake) try to spend some time pondering the dreams and thinking about them and all feelings related.

I dont actually keep a dream Diary or anything on a regular bases; however my dreams are very vivid and it is very hard for me to let go of them. I try to disect them as much as possible - maybe i am trying to analyze too much...

I have the same kind of dreams and im fairly certain everyone does at some point in time. Its definately something interesting, and i wish i could tell you more about it...but other than its a naturally occuring phenomena that everyone has or will at some point experience, i really dont know what to say. Either way i wouldn't really pay it too terribly much attention unless you have some extremely disturbing dreams. One question i do have for you is when you have dreams that turn out to be deja vu, did the dream seem to only last a few seconds when in fact you had been asleep the entire night? Normally thats how mine are when i have them, and usually within a month what i dreamed happens so i suppose im curious...
I heard once that deja vu was caused by your mind passing something from your short-term to your long-term memory, then immediately recalling it as if it had happened awhile ago.

I have also heard that, but I do not necessarily believe it. It is a very controversial subject among Psychologists and others. Some say it's like a short circuit in the brain. I dont think it will ever be proven.
Psychotropic - In some cases these dreams are like that; Other times, I can have numerous dreams in one night... Different topics all together. Sometimes when these deja vu experiences happen, I already know what the person is going to say or do before they do it... And I play the whole scene out in my head before it takes place... Kind of creepy sometimes...

This also happens to me ALOT. I only found out it was unusal when my friend was suprised I had deja vu's at least once every other week.
Maybe it is rya's theory , who knows ? It's also strange with me , because sometimes i'll have recurring dreams and then when i'm in a situation , it's the dream i've kept having.
Strange.

That is one psychological explanation for some occurances yes. I recall that as well. However it does not explain all. Particularly in cases where things are written down or told to someone else in advance.

I get deja vu a lot and see clips of my past lives. My sister gets those types of dreams that you do, not as often though. It could be because mayb e there's something to learn from it but not from seeing it just once. I think that I see my past lives to learn from them or to know what path to take.
