Quest for Dragons, this thing on tv right now is another in a long line once again using the same old explination that ancient people finding dinosaur bones could explaine dragons.

now in china it makes sense, seeing as even today they are still destroying millions of year old fossils to make hooky home remedies (something that seriously pisses me off, they are destroying natural history for snake oil medicine).

however what about Europe, Africa, and America.
Especially the Europeans, if they were baseing their dragons on fossils then wouldn't some king or another have a dino-skull or a few bones in their treasury? using them to some claim to fame or another?
why are they missing then? even in the Americas were we can find a good deal of fossils, no tribes I have heard of have kept any skulls or what not as trophies or in sacred rituals.

so what's the deal with this?

It likely has something to do with how immensely fragile dinosaur fossils are, and it isn't likely that they were excavating areas with the intention of finding and preserving the fossils... Bottom line, paleontology in the modern sense is still relatively new, with proper forms of excavating for fossils only having been developed in the late 1800's... There you have it.

Some societies mine for minerals. some don't. Mining puts you closer to fossils. The North American inhabitants did not mine near as much as the Europeans and Asians. Again iron and coal put them ahead. As a teen I assumed that dinosaurs were the basis of dragons.

It is fortunate/unfortunate that we do not have dragons. Depending of course on whether or not they were benign creatures of the fantasy mythos, or the latter, the world devouring monsters like those in Reign of Fire... sigh. I would so love to be a dragon that could take human form and revert back when ever I wished... fuck the vampirism!

The stories of dragons came about long ago. Did people even have the tools to find and dig up dinosaurs back then?

The dragon stories may have been exaggerated tales of creatures that exist today like alligators, snakes, lizards, ect. They look the part.

Dragons are the result of actual, living, dinosaurs encounters

Dragons exsist.

When I say that I mean as in right now this very moment.

Hell there might be one right next to you right now and you would never know it.

That is of course because they along with a race of people live on our planet in another frequency
Sometimes there are people that are able to cross over or see over by changing the frequency of their brain waves.

Some drugs are said to do this actually, which is why these drugs are illegal, anyways, thats another story..

But I believe that these people through out the mellenia, all across the world, in almost every culture, have seen dragons
From England to China there are ancient dragon myths, because of these people, those that can see

Thats why there are no bones,
As for actual dinosaur encounters, thats a religious fundermentalist idea.

Thats an interesting theory. Many cultures that had no contact with each other all came up with the same thing.

So if seeing them is as easy as changing the brain waves I assume that would mean sight only and not the ability to touch. So are the incorperal like a ghost and can they see us or is it just one way.

By another frequency do you mean like different planes of existence/realms like the shadow plane, the astral plane, heaven and hell, ect? I used to meditate and travel to the astral plane. One time I did come across a dragon.

So....man living at the same time as dinosaurs = crazy? But being surrounded by invisible dragons we can't see or interact with = perfectly sane? o.0

I guess that's an interesting way to think about that. That makes more sense than any of the other bullshit we're fed. But there are dragons that we don't have to hallucinate to see, there is the Komodo Dragon.

Bones can be exposed by erosion, tremors and digging of any kind like wells and mines.
