I just wanted to post up a question directed at all Vampire lovers. With all the literature and media out there on Vampires and Vampire-Like creatures there are lot of different strengths and weakness's associated with them. What I want to know from everyone is, what are you favourite traits and weakness in a vampire? Do you prefer they be killed by sunlight, stakes and silver? That they are allergic to Garlic? They can levitate and speak through mind connection? Do you love Anne Rice's Vampires or Laurell K Hamilton's? Or maybe you go for the millennium Vampire's the like's of which you'll find in Moonlight?I would love to hear everyone's point of view.xxangelxx

Well I love how seductive they are and I love their teeth and blood lust. I don't have a favorite way for them to die because I don't like it when they die. I love everything about vampires.

I suppose my favorite characteristics are their immortality and in a way, the distance that comes with it. They get to stand back and watch society grow and evolve, to have a different perspective than most people. I would love to do that. : ]

I never could get into rice. Though I love the Laurell K Hamilton stories in terms of the modern stuff. I'm really big on the old stories and old style of what makes a vampire. The Stoker or just the old legends that spun out of folklore. Though I've become quit fond of the Dracula that comes of the Kostova book that is quite new.

I like vampires because they are elegant, sophisticated, intelligent, aristocratic, and are not bound by any rules of society. They are also rough and brutal and don't give a shit what anyone thinks about them. I like that they are extremely powerful, but that it is not outwardly evident unless you fuck with them or they are hungry.

Also I like blood and the night.

Alright I'll actually answer the question.

I like the classical vampire.

Silver don't poision or kill them, sunlight means death, drinks blood every night, three bites and you turn, hates garlic, crosses and holy water, can shapeshift, has hypnotic abilities and a ghoul or two lurking in his castle.

But what I call the modern classic vampire is my absolute favorite

You know they basically the same, but like a bit more...refined.
Need to pass the blood on to cause a turn, sunlight can kill but if you old enough you can recover if lucky, doesn't mind silver, garlic, crosses, holy water, stakes, lack of air, has mind powers, is fast, can fly, seduce, see lots of detail. Can go mad, or get lost in thought, depressed, I like a vampire with problems, and immortality can present lots of those.

I Don't Like the virus vampire types.
You know the underworld, moonlight, blade types, those that think they can be cured!
Don't get me wrong, those were really cool shows and they would never have worked with the other type of vampires, but for me there is just something...popcornish about them
