As you can see it's all been stuck together, Remember to mark Out Of Character sections with OOC. That way we'll all understand where to go, if you need any doing let me know and welcome to the new era.

Please accept my apologies. This was one of the mistakes I made when making the changes. There was going to be 2 sections, the gaming area and the OOC area.
It would be incredibly helpful and appreciative if some of you would help Straife and myself of course, figuring out how to best accomodate the Roleplaying now. Consider it Tabula Rasa. We have a clean slate (mostly) to work with as far as -everything- goes. Rules, etc.. Do you want them? Need them? What should get pinned? Unpinned?
Do you have some ideas? Please share.

Personally I think we need a short outline like what Swan previously had for the rules. I do have to say reading the rules she has that I don’t think we need those anymore but it might be good to have a short outline like what she had and then have the RP guide. My guide seems to have been helpful for a few people that I know have read it but . . . It’s lost in Daemonns jumble and not very useful as it is right now.
So, I don’t see the need for the ‘In Character Guidelines’, or ‘In Character Wanted Guidelines’, threads unless the rules are revived and I really don’t see a need for ‘Godmoding and Power Chars’ at all. Taking away those three and then putting a short rule guide followed by the RP guide and voila! You now only have 1 pinned topic instead of 4.
Those are my proposals in-so-far ^^ I would be very willing to redo parts of my guide if anything’s off or if anything is deemed missing.

I don't know what Straife thinks yet, but I really like what you've written so far and I know he'd probably appreciate the help.

Hey Sire & Straife too I guess,
So I'm liking the new look and yes was a bit thrown by the combining of OOC and IC, but apparently that'll work itself out somewhere along the lines. My one question or maybe it's two, is there anyway to get the 'Last posted:' date on here? Like maybe above the name of the Last Poster?
It's just nice to know when someone last paid attention to a thread or not. Helps determine the livetity(sp) of the thread, for me anyways.
Also, would there be anyway to add a column for Views. I know we have one for Replies but it's nice to see that outisde people are paying attention to your work as well.
Alright, so that was two... and hopefully minor things. Otherwise, I'm up for whatever
Sincerely,
Neera

These are skin-related issues, so at least for now you might prefer a different skin that has the extra bits of data you desire.

Note to Straife: I don't like a lot of sticky topics. Please see the way I'd prefer it to be handled, by looking in the Poetry & Fiction (Dark Whispers) section at top of the page where it says "Rules..":
http://forum.darkness.com/index.php?showforum=21Once you and your members have agreed upon what's important to keep and what to remove, I can update this for you.

To be honest all we need is The Roleplay guide by GothicBloodyGem, I'd say that as new people come in we can direct them towards one guide. There's little need to state the rules, if anyone is starting to godmode or becomes a little trouble I'm sure the players will let me know.
As for sections I'm still a fan of keeping OOC and IC seperate, it just allows ease of use when you want to find your story or enjoy reading through the others. I'm not really seeing a need for anything like Adrolia anymore, but may come up with a basic thread plot for everyone to enjoy and talk about each other.
If anyone wants to object, then please feel free but I'll unpin some of the topics tomorrow night. And then start narrowing it down for the pinned topics, please let me know before then. I'd say two guides would be nice, one for the basic idea of a roleplay and one for the players. So Gothics and another to be yet written, if you've any ideas or thoughts on how you plan the games yourselves please drop me a line.

One guide to bind them
I figured the best way to do this was for the single guide as edited by Gothic, it's easy to follow and not offensive. All new players should look at this post, and then we can all join in the with the same views. I'll work a basic plot and put a standard roleplay up as well, nothing major a gathering of sorts with Out Of Character conversation allowed for direction.
I also removed the character bios, most plots I've seen ask for none or a single for that actual thread. So I can't see the point in keeping it up there, as for the other guides there still around just not up there. If anyone has any ideas for the roleplay scenario, feel free to post below or make comments on the changes.

My suggestion... seperate OOC and In Character. It will make it a lot cleaner and easier to search for the threads.
I like the idea of going to one guide rather than having all of the other's up there despite that most were mine *pouts* j/k. I also agree that the Character Bio's thread should be removed. I mean most characters are story specific so why should there be a thread created just for them when they don't go together.
So far I think things are moving in the right direction, it just needs some fine tuning. I'm always here to help and hopefully I can be more active to get this place moving along again. I'm sure Straife will do a good job managing things as he has always been a fair-minded fellow.

Cheers Swan
I'll put a poll up shortly asking about the merged forum, and see how many want a return to OOC & IC and how many prefer this format. That way we can see who out votes who, and if you could
all vote on this it would be a big help.

I'm not ready to create a brand new OOC forum again. Let's just preface the topics that are necessary with "OOC: blah blah" for now.

No problems, you all heard the man. So then I'll be here to help, and in cases remove posts from view. Please try to get along, have fun and take it easy.
