Okay, first off, rules:
1. No godmodding, that's obvious.
2. Your characters must fit within the confines of my constructed world and the standards set forth.
3. No killing other characters unless you ask me first, and even then we'll only do that if it will dramatically help the storyline along.
4. Any character types are welcome so long as they are not super-god characers.
5. Noobs will be tolerated, but only if they wish to learn how to RP, not just flounder around aimlessly.
6. Sentence structure and grammer, as well as spelling must be in order and above a FIFTH GRADE LEVEL. That means you probably will need to hit up a spell-check before you submit your posts.
7. If you're interacting with other players, please allow for dialog and other interactions before you decide to move on with your storyline; this will give all in the RP a chance to post what they want to before everything moves on.
With those rules in mind, I'll be designing this realm around the concept of limitless different dimensions, which I'll explain in a moment. I plan this to be an MMRPG (Massively Multi-player Role Playing Game), with plenty of different stories playing out at a time. So don't feel confined and you may start where ever you wish, and you may even create your own realm, but first you need to post all the details and such about that realm here and wait first for me to approve it into the story. If your realm is to be considered, it must have many details, race, terrain, government, a bit of history would be nice also. You all must be open minded on this.
Okay, as I said, any characters are welcome, of any race you can think of. You may even create a race for your realms but only if they are detailed enough and if I approve them as well as the realm. Remember, detail is the key.
Alright, so here's the description:
The Great Halls:
Central hub and connecting point for each of the realms throughout existence, these halls are home to the Gods and Goddesses, residing in the High Mountains, and the ruling Councils that govern each of the realms and their individual worlds. The Halls themselves are vast and seemingly limitless with doors that open into each of the various realms. These Halls and doors are guarded accordingly, and there are those who are allowed to travel certain realms, and of course there are realms that are off limits. You must first check in the at the Hall of Records in order to ascertain which realms you are not allowed to visit.
Also located here are the Gardens, which are tended by the wood nymphs and are said to be a most peaceful and magnificent sight to behold. Many spirits and other beings that travel the realms come here simply to visit and meditate. These unnatural flowers and trees are themselves spiritual creations which seem to instill peace within everyone who walk in their presence.
Another wonder in which many beings travel here for are the Great Library. Said to contain all of the knowledge and books through many of the realms in existence, this library is in actuality very small in size. Instead of shelves of books, there are cubicles for beings to stand or sit, and in these cubicles is a space only two feet squared, and in this space will appear any text in reference to your need. You may not always get the information you need, but the text that appears to you will always have reference to what you "request." Now, as with most places in the Great Halls, some material is off limits to some beings, simply for the fact that some are not ready for certain knowledge and would not be able to absorb this information. Therefore, a cap is put on many beings by the Ruling Councils depending on their race, realm, and their acceptance of the vastness of Existence. This "cap" is in place to filter out what these beings know and would be willing to accept, and also by their need for such knowledge.
There is also the Training Grounds. These grounds were created in order to teach beings new to the Halls how to functions in the Halls and the other realms. Many of the beings that visit the Halls are in spirit form and so are unaware of how the "physics" of the Otherworlds work, therefore there are many guides in place, some created solely for this purpose, to teach others. And for the warriors and Guardians of the Realms, these grounds also serve as combat training. Metaphysical combat is similar, yet different, from some of the realms these beings are used to, so many of those visiting either the Halls or any other realms are given lessons on how to combat any threats they may encounter in other realms before they are allowed to travel to those realms. It is also here that beings are allowed to prove themselve worthy of traveling to their personally restricted realms, by showing themselves capable against opponents created by the Guardian Council itself. Each level is ranked by an Earth Realm's Roman Numeral, since that is the most widely used system of catagorization. Each being has their own personal restrictions to accessing certain realms, and only when they pass certain levels of what is known as the Secti Proving are they allowed to travel into those realms, and even then they must be accompanied by a guide for that realm.
Now, what you all must realize is that, yes, there are other, illegal means to get into the other realms other than going through the Halls. Gates are created often from one realm to the next by those who know how to manipulate the Veil between worlds, but that is only possible by those of strong will and a very powerful manipulation of energy. And these beings are considered outlaws by the Ruling Councils of the Halls and are wanted for their missuse of power. It is against the Laws of the Otherworlds to travel the realms without consulting the Halls first. Those caught doing so without permission are punished, most often forced to incarnate into a body with very little power other than physical and mental, stripping them of their energy and magickal abilities. As with most things, there are more and less harsh punishment, depending on the infraction.
But there are acceptions to this law, and those are the Guardians. The Guardians are allowed to travel the realms at will, but they are also limited by their capabilities to Gate. You see, other than the Great Halls, the one thing that is a natural barrier for the realms is the Veil, a thin alternate reality that spreads like a mist separating the realms. To travel directly into this mist brings you into a realm referred to only as the Veil. It is here that many of the unicorns and dragons roam free, for here is a place where magick runs rampant and beings of spirit come and go as they please. Yet there is danger in traveling this plane, for there is not an existing Council to govern the beings that reside here, therefore anyone entering the Veil is subject to the whims of those who take up resident there. The doors in the Great Halls are permanent gates between the Veil that allowed beings to travel through without having to actually move through that plane of existence in any form or fashion. Yet these Gates take a large amount of energy to maintain, formed out of the ether itself and creating a cycle of energy that makes the Gates and the Halls self-sustaining so long as all the Gates and the Halls remain connected to one another as a central hub. The energy from the realms that the doors are connected to filter through these doors and help to energize and keep the Halls intact. Should one door be cut off from a certain realm, it would take ages to recreate the Gate to its former self-sustaining form. And each time a Gate is created, the energy within that realm is shifted and the balance of that Universe is thrown off balance for an instance, creating potential chaos and disorder for the Council that governs that space.

So, everyone, is that enough information for you all to get into this? If not, let me know what I need to work on and I'll get on it right away. Any and all characters are welcome, so long as you are not a super character. Also, no characters are allowed to play one of the Gods or Goddesses. Those are NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) and their dialog will be played out by me, if they are even required to have any dialog in the first place.
So, please, begin posting your characters and I'll start reviewing them, and maybe in a few days we'll have enough people to start this thread up. Hope we have fun with this, and good luck to everyone. Remember, it's only a game, and we're supposed to have fun, so let's not get so into our characters that we forget that there are real people with real emotions behind these words. Kay?
Alright, begin posting. Please be as detailed as you can about your character and their race, and please provide some history to them so we can know what that character has done until know. If you have a character sheet on the Character Sheet thread, please post it here and don't make us go searching for it. I won't approve any character that I can't see here personally.
