Hey i love Xena and Hercules too! They were some bad ass shows.

You gotta love greek mythology. I believe in it totaly. I believe they were Gods and Goddesses back in those days. They had somehow tapped into that energy and power that they had.

just to spice things up

a fictional goddess

The Lord of Nightmares

in the anime series (The Slayers) there are four worlds, each is governed over by a dark lord and a protector god who each in turn create their own armies and compete with each other.

the four worlds came into being from the body of a supreme creator diety that very few are aware of, most people in the series worship the lower gods and view their supreme protector god as the head god with no knowledge of this higher being.

The Lord of Nightmares, the source of all chaos, is the chaos.
only seen twice in the three series (at the end of the second it takes control of Lina Inverse's body) and at the end of the third briefly as a white female siloute as it brings Valgaav back to life as an egg.

supposedly this eye catch is her with a shovel (this is not stated to be true or not though)

youtube clip
This is Lina Inverse possesed by the Lord of Nightmares against Hellmaster phibrizzo (the lord of the underworld) He forced lina to use a spell calling on the lord of nightmare's power hopeing to kill Lina and cause the power to run wild (his plan backfired and the lord of nightmares was summoned instead)

Bast the Egyptian cat goddess (goddess of cats, love, and lesbians)

WilV
does anyone else ever think that the gods were real people with real lives once upon a time? I know I sure do (especially when you read about their stories)

" Bast ( Bastet, Bastis, Bubastis, Pacht, Ubast) is a name well-known in the West.

She was responsible for Joy, Music, and Dancing, also Health and Healing.
She also protected humans against contagious diseases and evil spirits.

Her cult can be traced back to about 3200 BC,
and she became a national deity when Bubastis became the capital of Egypt in about 950 BC.

Her origin is said to be in this city Bubastis,
although her association with the lion-goddess Sekhmet makes it likely that her cult was also celebrated at Memphis.
Temple honoring Bast were found at Bubastis, Memphis-Sakkara and Dendera.

Cats, as manifestations of Deity, were sacred; they protected the grain from mice and rats.
Killing a cat was punished with death.
Bast is the daughter and/or wife of Ra, the God of the Sun." (taken from here)
