I was reading a conversation on a paranormal investigations website and the topic of weird stuff showing up in photos came up. The photos in question were deemed to be unexplained and you could very clearly see a shadow figure in one photo that really looked like a reaper and had a skull for a face - the photos were checked for authenticity, etc. Also, there were some mediums discussing this and they referred to the reaper as a "demon". Has anyone got links to any information that classifies demons in such a way - I have seen the majority of demonology listings but I don't recall seeing reapers in those listings.
Usually forms like that are referred to as "shadow people", not reapers... so I would be interested in reading that conversation, if you wouldn't mind linking us to it. Also, the reaper (or grim reaper) is actually an angel of death (not a demon), which we should all know as not truly being evil, as God (if you believe in God) sends the angel of death forth to collect those He is ready to bring to his side, or who are due for judgement.
As the skull/skeleton is one of the strongest avatars of death, it would be easy to see how the symbolism could be confused.
Shadow people (in theory) are supposed to be dark souls who are just as trapped here as normal ethereal entities (ghosts), and are sometimes seen at locations where strong spiritual (usually malevolent) activity occurs, or in places people consider to be evil.
That's just based on what I've read tho... I've only ever seen what could be considered a shadow person once, and it fit the profile... to a degree anyway.
Those people who were messing with energies they didn't understand, while drinking heavily, which is always a very bad idea.
