I'm pretty sure everyone on this site has heard of her, yes.
If you're looking for information on her you can check out her
Crime Library page.

This has nothing to do with the occult, though some stories about her being cursed to trim all the blades of grass on her grounds at night, until it's all done, as punishment for her evils. Nobody EVER mows that lawn, so there's no way her curse has ended if it's real.

She supposedly gorged herself on blood, as well as bathing in the blood of young virgins regularly, believing it would bring her prolonged youth and beauty.

I read some thing that said that that was a rumer, but one of her torture methods was that she would make her victims eat a strip of their own flesh.

moved to vampire section.
As Elizabeth Bathery is a topic about one of the key historical figures behind the modern view of vampires as royal figures (in fact one of the two people:the other being Vlad Dracula) that inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula.

She is said to be the first real female serial killer. she killed for sadistic, sexual, hedonistic just instead of political or personal power. she was walled in for the rest of her life, after four years she died. her trial was held in secret. she bite, beat, stabbed, tortured, burnt, soup cold water over them til froze her victims. her husband did help her too, but she started when he was at war. she was addicted to committing sadistic acts of torture since her adolescent years, then 650 victims over a thirty five year period. that works out roughly to a mere 19 victims a year.

I have a book on her, unfortunately that book is in storage along with my other books. When I move I will look for it and post as much info as I can. I tend to believe books over wiki, considering books like that are written by real professionals on the subject and not some random teenager that never bothered to learn fact from fiction.

What do you mean Death Kitten? Do you mean that's the name of the book or do you m ean that's what you type in to get true info.? Moonlight, I do agree with you on that that's why I don't go to wiki and I compare the things I read cuz I'm really interested in her.Like I've said before I have gotten in touch w/ someone who may be a decendent of hers and he gave me the name of this book that is the closest anyone will get to the truth and what really happened.

Elizabeth Bathory I take sympathy on her when ones mind is made to think a believe in cetain things it is hard to stray and she just had higher urges than most people today i'd say she was a very interesting person i would've have loved to see her work in person i think it would have been slighty scary and yet slighty amuseing not so much for the torturing of the innocent , i would side with her more if she'd have tortured the evil and wicked then she might've had a false sence of justice surrounding her actions but unfortunatly she didnt so i can not console her problematic position , unfortunate as it is .

I don't take pitty on her but I do think that the story is interesting. I like to psycho analyse sick fucks like that so trying to get into her psyche, with the info I have on her, is very interesting.

If onjly she had made a show of it to other nobles. she would have been all the talk of the social circles for starting a new trend. her only real problem was that she hid it to herself.
