don't get me wrong, i don't negate the possiblity that some are emotionally dependent on gathering energy, but perhaps it is merely a learn dependence?

by that, i mean, perhaps these vampires have merely grown accustom to being bursting with another's energy and simply have forgotton how to live without it.

again, i am uncertain so don't knock me due to my ignorance.

i am merely saying this because i have very profound psychic vampirism abilities and i see no need to be dependent on it. if you're down, stay down, or pick yourself up with music or exercise or something that can gain you increased energy without drawing from others. taking out your emotional state on another seems a coward's approach to me.

i mean no disrespect to those who call themselves vampires.

and if you're gonna draw from others...please ensure that they know about it...or at least deserve it...lol

A lot of psychic vampires are just addicts, who don't feel good unless they're holding more energy than usual. But I've known several who were actually dependent on the energy to maintain their health. One in particular was holding leukemia in check by drawing in energy; when he stopped feeding he started dying. But he was an extreme case.
Those who were born as psychic vampires, many are dependent on energy to stay healthy; without it their immune systems start to shut down and they get ill. They have no energy of their own, they get tired and some get depressed. If they stay too long like that, the damage can be long-term illness or injury.

sweet, i no longer believe vampires to be merely either impulsive or cowardice

I have never believed in vampires they were just something invented in oldy world london were they not.

Jamsiejay, I'm not knocking you , just giving you the reasons that I believe in vampires, of course not the immortal, bursting into fire from the sun ones. There are people who like to drink blood and there are psychic vampires such as Duality and my dad. And I like to suck blood.

I actually prefer the term 'drink' but that's me, I mean... hey, it worked for Dracula! lol

I quite agree with this bit. I don't have to consciously draw energy often, but if I don't I get severely depressed for no reason that I can tell, I get VERY tired, and my immune system tends to go down.

In response to feeding off those who know or deserve it, I choose to feed off loose energy from a crowd rather than from one individual. High-energy events (concerts are my first choice) or crowded places usually have quite a bit of loose energy just floating around that will eventually dissipate. It's not connected to anyone anymore, so I don't see any problem with feeding off of it.

It depends on how much you draw and the intensity of which you take it. Depending on which types of energy you feed off of, any one person can have a 'loose' or excess amount of energy flowing off of them at any one time. As long as you're not going for bulk, you won't be harming them in any way, shape or form. Besides, at that level, it's not like they're doing anything other than wasting it anyhow.

Khrymzynn was pretty close, but it's all mental. Everything concerning a Psi is all mental or spiritual. Psi's don't need to feed to survive at all, but depending on the caliber of the Psi, it can drastically affect their mental health. Any living creature in poor mental condition can have physical side affects due to this, and in the case of a Psi, thats all that is but their energy consumption does not directly affect them physically. A Psi who isn't feeding, or feeding properly, can be an extremely different person compared to who they would be if they were.

Your comment leaves me with great concern. You say you are a Vampire. This makes me wonder, do you believe you have a soul? I have personally expierianced things you wouldnt believe so i won't try to convince you. Look up the Monroe Institute. It's in Fabre, Virginia. They do some horrible expierements there. I inherited some of those genes. Because of that I can see what others cannot or choose not to see. I have gained a few odd capabilities because of it as well as a great deal of bloodlust but there is one key differance between myself and a vampire. I have a soul. A true vampire is a Humunculi. If you are a TRUE vampire and not just a person caught up in the hysteria then the Monroe Institute would probably be happy to feed, clothe and shelter in exchange for some research. Oh and if you arent sure what you are, if you believe you are descended from vampires you are WRONG. Humunculi cannot produce offspring.
