I am wondering is there a certin age before you can turn into a vampire? :o

According to lore, you can become a Vampire at anytime. How you go about doing this, or if you can have it done, is one of the bigger (amusing?) debates on this board.

But just imagine being 12 forever. For lack of a better word, it would suck.

I would prefer 16, 18, or 20 to become a vampire...maybe 24 lolz...ehh...I like them young...*Smiles*

I asked a few to see what age they would consider making someone if they could , most said that they wouldnt do it below the age of 19 , not even if it was medical.

You've previously argued pro-lifestyle, pro-born, and pro-making. Which is it? And since we're not talking supernatural vampire here (Or so I assume, since you are using the same arguement in this thread as you do in the REAL REAL NOT FAKE NOT SUPERNATURAL BUT REAL VAMPIRE threads), given that there is no supernatural entity forcing them to be a vampire, how can it be both that "They can be made" and "they are what they are... it is not a lifestyle, it is their inner core, it is not something they can change"?

i dont think there is a vampire stupid enough to make a little kid a vampire. it would give vampires a bad name if there were little vamps all over the place. think about this... they would probably have to climb up to someone to bite there neck or they would have to do it while the victim is sleeping. thats just plain stupid

The answer is this ; Yes ,you must be a certain age before you become a vampire. You must be old enough to possess a soul. Simple as that might sound , A fool or a cruel and vile person can go through out life with out one. And if such a person is bitten they just become food and drink for a vampire. And not too tasty a morsel I might add. Most good people develope a soul at an early age. Many lose theirs at a later time in life . As long as you have yours , you can become a vampire if bitten. . I know what you are saying what about children and old people? Children ,when bitten may still enjoy the happiness of youth . No vampire can ever take that away. And as far as old people are concerned, have you ever heard of the fountain of youth? Vampires contain it in their fangs.

No, you can get blooded at any age by another Vampire BUT, if another Vampire bloods someone under 18 and you get blooded other Vampires will hunt you down.

What can U meen by just A vampire or witch I dident know what I was, I never herd of witches, vampires or even Banchies witch have been around 4 longer than vamps or witches untill after I had turned fully I thought I was a vampire through and through but casting spells and perfoming ritualls I gussed made me a Banchie although I still think of mysellf as a vampire.

I've never heard of Banchies either. I've heard of banshies, but I don't think that's what you are talking about. A banshee (or a woman of the hills) is a ghost/spirit that comes to a person's home and wails loudly. The wailing banshee is supposed to be a sign that someone in that house/place is going to die soon. They are related to the Bean Nighe.

As far as a cross between a witch and a vampire the closest I could come was: Guaxa. Also the belief in witches and vampires would have to (in my mind) predate the belief in 'Banchies', primarily because if they didn't have an idea of what a vampire or witch was, how would they know that a Banchie was a combination of the two? Why would the two be separated in later mythologies?

I would only transform one into a vamp at a certain age, not too young or too old. It would be terriable to be a feeble old man forever or a ten year old forever.

You know, that's why I'm glad that classical vampires are pretty much a biological improbability. It would be such a pity for a 5000 year old not to be able to get a beer whenever they wanted to.

i think that if the victim was a little boy of 12 or so his blood wouldnt be adapted to being able to be change. he wouldnt have hit puberty yet and so his body wouldnt be powerful enough to hold the vampire blood and he would die from blood loss

A Banchie is verry simmilar to A BANSHIE there are verry fiew of us and I sadly must addmit you verry rarely hear of us and I have never met another. This is for lost soles and people with an empty life and those who performe rtualls bt crave blood. We can create the same screach as they can and have verry sensitive sences espicially in hearing other Banchies and Banshies eather in warning or call.

A Banshee is a spirit which attaches itself to a certain family. When a member of the family is about to die, they hear the wail. Similar to the black dogs or wolves that howl before the member of a certain family dies. I am not sure how these spirits can be linked with a living Witch/Vampire? <_<

As I said in one of my previous posts a Banshee is a dead spirit. They are not to be confused with either vampires or witches.

If you've never met any others...how did you know what you supposedly were? Did you search it up on the internet or something? Any books that contain information on...banchies, was it? I've looked through several occult/mythological dictionaries here, no references apart from the banshees, of which you've already been informed by Meatros.

I'll go with the extremely witty comment that has already been made... is it that you are not content with just being a vampire; felt the need to be more important, to me too them more than they did?
