This is... going to sound odd, and somewhat unbelievable, because I'm not quite sure what happened myself.

Yesterday I went to a vampire meetup (meetup.com) because, well, I had never been before, and as a scholar of all things interesting, I was curious. Met some great people, all sanguines, and one...enthusiast, who was also there for the first time and seemed to be along the whole 'turn me' lines. Anyways, we all hung out, chatted and had a great time. The lady who runs the whole thing noticed that the barrista was 'pinging her radar', so to speak, so she started up a conversation with him, and he seemed very interested, and so they said they'd talk with him when he was off work (the coffeeshop closed down at eleven). I was getting a ride home with the main lady and her husband, so I waited with them until the boy came out. He seemed interesting enough, said he was an 'Astral Vampire' - that is, he could astrally project himself to feed on other people's energies. I got a funny vibe from him, but I'm really not good at interpreting others' auras or energies, so I just ignored it.

Like I said, I was getting a ride home with the one couple, because it was a bit late for the bus, but we ended up going to their house and hanging out some more. To make a long story short, we spent over three hours together, drinking absinthe and talking about weird stuff (and I gotta say, that woman knows how to make a proper absinthe drink) before I went home.

So, I stumble into bed, tired and drunk when... well, something happened. I woke up later in the night to a presence over me and a pain in my neck. It was like a shadow pressing down on me, and the pain wasn't sharp like a cut or puncture wound, but rather like a very hard pinch. I could feel it draining energy from me, and I was too fuzzy from the absinthe to focus any sort of shield or counter attack. I wan't paralyzed, but it was holding me down, and it took a monumental fight and effort just to move one arm to try and cover the spot on my neck that hurt, but even then, it didn't make any difference.

I was rather pissed off at the whole thing, but my mind was too fuzzy to work straight, and the sensation, while painful, was also strangely pleasant. I can remember moaning after a while, and not being sure whether or not I wanted to try and stop it or just go with it.

Of course, now that I'm fully awake, the whole thing seems a lot more strange and unreal. I have a suspicion that it was that one I met in the coffeeshop, but a lot of strange things have happened to me in this house, so it could have nothing to do with him.

And then, it could just be the result of drinking too much absinthe on an empty stomach, but I can usually tell what's a dream, and if it was, then it was a damn strange and real one - people rarely dream about being in their beds and having things happen there. So, does anyone else know about things like this?

maybe he claims to be a vampire but only becomes one in astral realm. not for real.

Who's to say this was not an attack of this individual claiming to be an astral vampire, but the fact that this attack was made by an invisible entity could mean it was anything else.

I have heard a lot about weights pressing down on people as they sleep, or are getting to sleep, overpowering them, and have had friends who it's happened to when they were intoxicated. We're more weak and vulnerable in this state, and entities may find it easier to interfere with us, and to reach us. And I've felt people caressing me before when I was in a shallow half-sleep, and a strange sensation on my neck like a small animal was sitting on it, but I didn't want to move, and it seemed to move from my neck to another part of my room to my neck again with peculiar ease.

I don't want to freak you out, but this attack sounds similar to incubus attacks, and note I say similar, so you may want to look up the Soul Drinkers thread on Otherkin. I posted something about Incubi activity, and you added something if I remember correctly, and there are various people's experiences and opinions.

Hope this can be of some help.

Oh this is the fifth time that seriously weird shit has happened in this house, and I don't even live here most of the time, so I well believe it could have been something other than him.

Although, all the other times, I saw things that were sometimes frightening, but I never dealt with anything... tangible before.

The way I see it is if something can tap on a window, or a wall, or a ceiling or whatever, it can tap you.
