Asanbosam: african- normal vampires, except that they have hooks for feet, and suck blood from the thumb


Baital: indian- natural form; half bat, half man. about four feet tall.

Bajang: malaysian- takes the form of pole cats, have been thought to be enslaved by sorcerors and made to kill sorceror's enemies.


Baobhan Sith: scottish- appear as beautiful young woman, and dance with men until they are exhausted. at which time they feed upon the man. can be harmed and destroyed by iron

Callicantzaros: greek- a child born on christmans will become a Callicantzaros. they often appear as half human, half animals.


Ch'ing Shih: chinese- poinsonous breath in addition to blood sucking. it is said that if it encounters a pile of rice, it must stop to count each grain. can be harmed by weapons and sun light, immortal form is a glowing sphere of light.

Civateteo: mexican- vampire witches, held sabbaths at crossroads, thought to attack children and mate with human males, producing vampire children. thought to be linked with the god: Tezcatlipoca.


Dearg-due: irish- standard european vampire, can not shape shift however. can be defeated by making a cairn of stones over its graves. said to be ghost like

Empusa: greek and roman- appear as beautiful woman and or ancient hags. related to incubi and succubi.


Ekimmu: assyrian- spirit variety. invisible by nature, capable of possessing humans, can be destroyed by wood and exorcism.

Hanh Saburo: indian- live in forests, and control dogs. attempt to lure travelors into the woods to attack them.


incubus: european- sexual vampires. spirit vampires of demonic nature. can enter homes univited and appear as other people. said to visit the same victim repeatedly, which will be thought of as dreams by the victim.

Jaracara: brazilian- normally appearing as a snake, said to drink the milk of sleeping woman as well as their blood.

Krvopijac: bulgarian- also known as (obours), look like normal vampires except that they have only one nostril. can be imobilized by placing wild roses around their graves. it is said that it can be destroyed by having a magician place its spirit into a bottle, which then must be thrown into fire


Lamia: greek and roman- exclusivly female. appear in half human half animal forms. eats the flesh of its victim in addition to drinking their blood. can be attacked and killed with normal weapons

I love the work of William Max Miller, yet his images hint of Vampires rather than directly portray them. We need to get him off his crappy geocities site. Anyway here's a few:

Loogaro: west indies- go abroad at night as blobs of light

Mulo: serbian- appear as people in white cloths. active day and night. can assume shape of horses or sheep. they eat their victims as well as drink their blood. also known as: Vlokoslak.


Nachzerer: german- the ghosts of the recent dead, returned to kill their families


Nosferatu: central and eastern europe- just take a look at dracula


rakshasa: indian- spirit variety, appear as humans with animal qualities [claws, slitted eyes, etc], or as animals with human features [hands, etc]. in any form, they are powerful magicians, and eat the flesh of their victims as well as drink their blood. can be destroyed by sunlight, burning, or exorcism.

Strige: eastern europe- often called birds of ill omen. they attack at night, sometimes in flocks of them just for one victim. they have long sharp beaks with which they feed from their victims after pecking holes in them to get their blood.

Vrykolakas: greece- can walk in daylight with out being harmed. described as being swollen. they may only call to let into a house once a night. they cause night mares as well as drink blood. can be destroyed by exorcism or burning.

wampir: polish and russian- look as though normal humans, and instead of fangs, they have a sting under their tongue. active from noon untill midnight. they can only be destroyed by burning, when burned their bodies burst giving birth to hundreds of animals such as rats, maggots, etc. if any of these escape, so will the wampir's spirit , and it will return at a later time to seek revenge. it is also known as vieszcy.

I'm a geek too, I know it's a different thing than Devimon and becomes SkullSatamon AKA skullDevimon and not a vampire like Myotismon but its in the same general group.
