Ok, this might sound really really weird, but I'm going to share an odd experience I had about 2 weeks ago. One night I was having this dream and it went like this:

I'm at church and everything's normal. But there was this male vampire who tried to bite one of my friends. I told him that I would take my friend's place and begged him not to hurt her. So he took me away from the church somehow and bit me. The next thing I know is that I've been turned into a vampire with these strange powers.

Anyways, that's how my dream sort of ended...so once I woke up, I went to the bathroom and I looked at my own reflection in the mirror. Strangely, I had these two little dots on my neck...kind of like a bite mark? It seemed really crazy to me at first. How could I have a dream about a vampire biting me ( I've never had any vampire dream in my life before), and have a bite mark or whatever it is on my neck the following morning? Doesn't it seem too...coincidential? Do vampires transfer their thoughts or memories while they bite someone??? :1zhelp:

maybe something bit you on the neck and you had a dream because of it? ya know, like when the alarm clock chimes in as a train in your dream or whatnot. like a bug or something...
or maybe you're just a werewolf

Well...as long as you don't start sleepwalking into cemeteries and stealing children for food I'd chalk it up to a cool life experience.

I don't have an answer for you! But I just wanted to say, nice dream!!
Fallen_Firefly
nice dream? OK! well..... perhaps you were imagining it, half dreaming it, confusing it with the dream simply because you had the dream or something similar? did these marks last?

Well yeah, I think the dream is kinda cool/nice, however you want to put it. Don't you think?

To Lady Asian Blood -

Maybe your dream seem so real to your mind, that it caused your body to react in the same way as it did in the dream, including creating the marks on you body!!

But I must say, sometimes the best things to do about dreams is not to analyse or explain, but to just accept and enjoy - unless they're nightmares, then that's a totally different thing all together.

All right...you donŽt understand now, but as you read about astral projection or something, youŽll get this subject...try not find a racional explanation, but accept that you really were there. everynight you go somewher e and back to your body.
if you woke up like that, you really was there. I donŽt know much about this, but I klnow that I go to a lot of places...Can you remember abtou your dreams?? if you do, just take some notes and out together, theyŽll make sense to you.

bye,bye

Maybe the part about seeing the bitemarks was a dream?

How did you feel possessing these strange powers? You'd spared a friend from being harmed by putting yourself in her place, but did you feel you had gained something from having strange powers? Was their nature constructive, or destructive?

It could have been two gnats or mozzies who landed on your neck and bit you at roughly the same in an alignment to make it look like the traditional twin vampire mark. But then again, that's unlikely. I'm not really sure about my beliefs on vampires, but I do believe in the supernatural, and there seems to be something supernatural about your experience. Too coincidental, or too syncronised?

I don't know, has the experience effected your thoughts or memories?

I was thinking about that possibility as well. I've had dreams where I'm still in my room - mainly half-asleep-half-awake tpe of dreams - and it is quite likely that she was still dreaming about the bitemarks. Unless of course, they lasted into the day.
Aeon
I'll be completely honest, and say I've been there.
*coughs* But I like, welcomed the experience.
Is this so with you by any chance?

Well lets see what we have here. You say you had this dream and you wake up with these marks on your neck. As was previously stated you could have had the dream affect your mind and make the marks appear or could have cause you to actually take your finger nails and make two small red circles on your neck. As for the dreaming about vampires and never dreaming of them before, i ask you this, did you start reading books or watching movies more that had to do with vampires? Back to making the marks with your nails on your neck, people sometimes have dreams of falling and wake up with small scracthes on their legs or arms. When your asleep you don't really lay motionless. You are able to move your hands and such, but when you are asleep its your subconcious running the show rather than the concious. Something could have simply irritated your neck and you scratched it, in two small circles, how likely is this, i am not sure, but it doesn't seem very likely. You could have just made the marks due to the dream you was having and the thought of someone biting your neck made you reach for your neck to get at what was "irritating" it. Also, the seeing the marks durring a dream/half asleep is very possible as well. Either that or maybe Rhyvenne is right about the astral projection thing and we do go places w/o our bodies everynight. But the thing is that dreams affect you. Have you ever woken up from a dream crying, or extremely happy? Maybe not even waking up from a dream that you could remember but waking up and being happy or sad or angry or excited and didn't know why. Who is to say for sure, you just have to pick through the options...usually the most rational ones aren't correct but somtimes they are, just like the very irrational ones, usually have to try and find the center between the two, as well as weighing the likeliness of each one.

I had various vampire dreams every night within the span of a week once. One of them, however, was similar to yours, Lady Asian Blood.
I dreamed that I was at a party and was being a wallflower, like I usually am, and a vampire caught my eye. I will not lie, this vampire was Lestat as played by Stuart Townsend blush.gif He stood out because he was standing perfectly still among the writhering mass of people dancing around him in fastforward. He was looking directly at me and smiling, and then began to laugh and I could see blood dripping from his lips. I instinctively put my hand to my neck and could feel the puncture wounds and warm blood. I got up and moved to the bathroom to examine the wounds. I lookes in the mirror and began to examine the bite when I woke up with a stinging in my neck exactly where I had been bitten. It was wierd. mellow.gif
