i have always wondered if vamps and witchs get along because some of my peeps say they do and others say that thay hate each others guts jus wonderin :confused1:

Thats a real good question i wish I had the answer to.

Some witches dislike me intensely without knowing me. I practiced Wicca for a few years IRL and have been asked about my energies. At one Coven, they would not let me into Circle until I told them, however, they welcomed me in, stating that they just needed to understand those energies. Others would query about my energies then bade me depart with angry words.

I just spoke with one of my Chosen (a witch) and queried on this matter...

"Vampires are seen as a negative force"

Me: why?

"Because vampires can drain life energy and take away the very fluid that supports life. You are seen as killers basically."

Me: we do not kill, where is the objection?

"You still have to drain some sort of energy or force"

Me: do not humans eat food? Is not the Wiccan spirituality such that animals are valid beings?

"It is acceptable for some to take the life of an animal but some Wiccans have become vegetarian."

Me: a vegetable has life force and certainly would prefer to not be consumed.

She just rolled her eyes, slapped her side, and walked off.

She just came back and read this...

"Because you drain from HUMANS you (she used an unprintalbe explicative)"

Me: so what is the difrerence? Again, are not animals viewed as beings as valid as a human?

'SHADDUP! You asked, I told you" she just walked off muttering. I hear certain unprintables issuing from her lips regarding myself right now.

Agreed. I found that most Wiccans who were willing to give me a chance became friends. Once they were able to see past the "vampire", they came to like the man.

Personally, I know not what vampires would have against the Witch.

I have never had trouble with any Wiccan, witch, or other practitioner of energy manipulation or the ritual arts. But I have known a few psionic vampires who did spark bad reactions. But those were usually the same psi's that I hated myself, and any reasonable person would have rejected some of them. I find that psi's are basically people, and witches will judge them on their own merits. Asshole psivampires are treated like assholes, but if you're cool, then you're cool, no questions asked.
OTOH, if you've got something to offer, knowledge or resources or abilities, then almost any Wiccan circle will make room for you. ^_^
Now, sangs are a different story. I suppose that would depend on your witches. Christian Mystics would scream and run, but anyone too close to the Left Hand Path would latch onto a sang and try to bring it home, ja ne?
I don't think there's any reason to believe in any intrinsic enmity or an innate collaboration between witches and vampires.
