Some of what people say is a blatent lie, Vampirism is a genetic dissorder not a romantic gift, its proven that its the V6 strand or something (if you look hard enough you will find it) You cannot infect anyone with this or 'Sire' anyone.
But this does not mean i myself am not a vampire, and they that dont drink blood and have special psi abbility. Ive researched this deeply for about 3 years and this is the conclusion i got to:

Different races/types: very very true

Immortality: That is impossible, your cells would have to regenerate constantly witch would mean you would be invincible and still look like a child. But there can deffinatly be an extended life span by about at the most 400 years.

Sects/clans/(forgotten what the real name for it is): yes but the origonal
orders were broken down by the knights templars.

Psi abilitys(influence etc.): That all depends on your overall veiws on wether you about psy and stuff. But i belive that it does exsist and is very apparent in Vampires.

Blood feeding (sang): yes i belive that it very important to vampires, but some people take it a little to far. It can be very harmfull and deadly to non vamps though

This is only a part of my knowlage but its late (and you can ask as many questions as you want at me) and i do not have time to go over every little detail i know, But the main part of this was so that you could back up or prove me wrong. Im not going to say if im a vampire or not, if i am then i know your lieing to a degree, if im not then i will just have to belive you. But please try and back up your comments. As i said please dont get angry im just looking for facts.

I find it odd you trash the classical vampires bu throw in your own 'research' that just offers a psuedo scientific 'Well if it were real this is maybe what it would be' list.....

everyone I am new here and wont be here for long, I am in an english class were are studying Vampires. I have read The Interview with the Vampire and Bram Stoker's Dracula, we also watched many movies with different vampires in then, Nosforatus, Van Helsing, Dracula. While I really do not have an opinion on whether they are real or not I would like to know how everyone feels about the question. Is the archetype of the vampire pop culture. I will begin please add anything you would like. I think that in fact they are pop culture. The stories and movies and photos of them change through time to prove things, in the time of the original Bram Stoker's Dracula, Dracula was pretty much into killing anyone, it taught a lesson to society now of course will all of our fantastic movie technologies hollywood can make vampires fly dissapear and do all sorts of things for entertainment now not so much as it used to be.

right well, Cheeriosvampire your input in away adds to my topic but at the same time maybe you should start your own topic, but i thank you as i see that your comment as backing up my point, Vampirism seems very addaptable, but so does Christianity. People say that the bible is the absolute truth but when you say "well if god made the earth in 7 days how come there were no humans around when dinosaurs were around" and the Christians say "oh i meant 7 eras!" i am a Christian myself but i still find the religion somewhat adaptable.
And Vore I do not "trash" classicals, all scientific study is done on trial and error. vampires couldnt live for ever, its a physical impossibility, unless they are magical (not meant mockingly), I mean that unless they were made completely different from humans with a different genetic make up. That would mean a whole new sub specie of humans. But that would also mean that the whole family and familys family all the way to the dawn of time are vampires. You get the picture. Im not mocking or telling people there wrong just simply asking for reasons.
