Wow! This can be fun.
Technically a vampire is one who takes and takes and takes. It could be taking in the form of someone elses blood, energy or life.
I would like to think vampires are those who bite into the necks and veins of their victims, and drink their blood. But after reading so many posts here, the neck is only one area they feed from.
I would also like to think that vampires that bite into the necks of their victims is an erotically charged moment. But again after reading the many posts here, it doesn't seem to have to be sexual all the time.
For me vampires are those who have lived many generations, aquired much wealth, power and intellect. For me vampires are the most erotic of all, know how to seduce, love and enjoy all that there is. My vampire definition doesn't need to kill or turn everyone into a vampire, but rather have many willing donors who form lasting relationships. The vast power and wealth a vampire accumulates over the centuries attract others. For those who donate their life blood to this vampire, the vampire does all he or she can to reciprocate the favor by using that power and wealth to help their donors throughout their lives. I am writing an erotic vampire story that centers around a vampire just like this.
Good question.
