differences between the life of vampires and the lives of humans?
there is only one difference to my knowledge and that is in feeding, i mean both need to eat food and drink fluid and stuff but vampires thirst for blood or energy, humans do not, that is the only difference i can think of....

I do not claim to be a real vampire and i do not want to be one i just want to know how it is to be a vampire do you really live for eternity and how old are some of you and what kind of abilities do you have and how were you made. i know alot of questions but im just curious

I am a thousand years old! I can fly, and turn into mist, and I live forever, untill you put a stake through my heart! But, that won't happen because I am already level 20.

Also, being a vampire gives me the super powers of being an unpopular teenager with bad fashion sense and the ability to play Dungeons and Dragons for hours and hours and hours. I also have been known to leap buildings in a single bound.

life as a vampire is the same as that of someone who is not 'blessed' can suck, but sometimes does not, each vampire views his or her life differently, vampires do not live for eternity, they do not even have extended life spans, well not massively extended like spanning 200 years or whatever, i am 18, but many here will claim to be several hundred years old, i have no special abilities, well i can eat what ever i want and not put on any weight but that is nothing to do with vampirism, i was born, no vampire can be made....

to explain this i will have to go into how i believe vampires are made and i really do not want to right now, i am liable to hurt some-one, i will answer tomorrow after i have calmed down a bit...

ok firstly i know my parents, and i beleive vampires are humans with a slight genetic defect, this could be due to a genetic mutation, and genetic mutations may occur at anytime, during a pregnancy in a regular human, mutations occur due to slight radiation that is around is all the time, i believe one of these mutations cause vampirism... and for the record, nearly everything you think you know about vampires is false...

I'm gonna have to go with a variation in the soul theory ... the essence ... that is vampire.

The body being only a vessel ... that houses the nature of what you are. The essence alters the vessel ... hence the reason that the vampire trait carries over into other lifetimes.

Not immortal body ... immortal vampire soul. The soul is the core of what you are ... it is your nature.

Not a very detailed statement ... I know ... but in a nut shell ... that about does it.

Immortal is such a strong word, the term means basically something that cant die , to be able to live even after a act that would cause death....

Nothing is every immortal , everything dies (except maybe energy or soul). However if you take into the account that some types of Vampyres can live for alot longer then humans , they would be considered to be "immortal" when comparing lifespans to a human who lives for only 100 years , someone living 400 would be classed as "immortal".

No Vampire or Vampyre on here would ever claim not be unkillable , however when most call themselves "immortal" they mean as incomparasion to life span , also the fact that most vampires or Vampyres will and can sustain more damage then a normal person....

So ... then perhaps using the term immortal ... to define a longer than average life span is a mistake. I would really perfer that we refrain from that term when talking about the body. Gives people the wrong impression.... don't you think?

Please read again. I did not say vampires are people of substance, virtue, and the fools. I said there are people here who have substance, virtue, and there ARE fools.

Secondly, I don't remember calling Olivia Canin a fool. Matter of fact, I don't remember naming a single name that did. I left it open so as to not terribly offend anyone in particular. I do remember you implying that she fit the category though (stating that the admins fit that category.. when I didn't). Myself, I find Olivia to be firm in her beliefs and quite willing to debate, unlike say... someone who has their posts poigniantly rebutted and so returns with some misguided misreading of the post in order to absolve yourself via friendship with administrators.

You've chosen to take the discussion away from the point (which, by the way, I stayed on. Creature Feature has every right to express an opinion. As for being a believer or not ... it does not change the fact that he/she has followed the rules and is more then welcome to post in this section of the site.

What some of you seem to forget here ... is that this is not your "personal" forum. Frankly ... I rather enjoy Creature Feature. A little skepticism is a welcome thing.

I have to wonder why some of you are so upset when someone doesn't agree with your opinion of yourself. Some of my closest friends are skeptics ... ~grins~ and I like them nonetheless for their opinions.

There are always ways to say what you want to say. It becomes a matter of finding a way to do so ... that fit within the parameters set forth. Creature Feature is quite adapt of this ~grins~ perhaps take a page from his book.
