I'm not going to lie and say that I'm a vampire at all,I was just wondering why they drink blood? I have an idea:Because they are souless, they need a soul to be "alive"(or something close to it) and blood harnests the soul.

actually if u want to hear the truth if u are a vampire which in fact your not they are not real but anyways back to the story vampires have bloodlust so they have to drink blood if they dont then they will die and turn to ashes they were cursed with it by the lycans in the war but again this is only in book so get a life and learn the facts.

Erm,dark_seed were you reffering to me with thw whole "your not a vampire get a life "thing,I think you should know that I stated first off that i was indeed NOT a vampire and by the way I have a life,and by my asking I was trying to learn the "facts" from people who know about it.You know people like you.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but is it necessary to post yours in every thread dealing with vampires? Can you prove 100% without a doubt that vampires don't exist? I think not! Just as i can not prove they do exist. But my main question to you is why are you even posting in these threads if your not even open to the possibility of their existence?

Posting in every thread the same thing once and again and again will only make others ignore your posts.

Going back to the original thing...

There may be many reasons for vampires to drink blood, as many have said, lack of iron, maybe it is tastier to them, their metabolism has developed a new mechanism in which blood is an easier way to get proteins (...), maybe because they think they will be feared if they are known as blood-suckers or just because they want.
A vampire must know better.

actually yes i can prove in fact that vampires dont exist they were made up by humans in the inds of human some of the humans liked the idea and wanted to look and act like a vampire thus people think they are but they are not saying a vampire is real is like saying godzilla lives off the banks of japan in the sea and protects them all made up never recorded anything on the truth about vampires only in fictional books can u read about them

Stereotype or advertising. It is expected of them. Milk is supposed to be (by nature) for infants and stopped with hard foods. Advertising convinces people to drink milk until death. There was a murderer in California called "The Vampire Killer" who bwlieved he was a vampire and put babies into blenderes. I believe because he thought he was a vampire and proved it by doing what was expected of him. He didn't burst into flames during the day in prison (when he died the guards posed him in a scary posed with hands in claws, I have seen the pictures.) I believe that a real vampire would not do what was expected but what came naturally. We would not recognise them.

i've herd many thing like they drink the blood to get their energy back and restore,also by doing that they get younger the years take off of them,and also becuz they can stay in a little bit of sunlite longer, i guess srry if this did not help :17: :tooth:

Vampyres are unnatural creatures with an alien metabolism. Thats where the blood-drinking began. Vampires these days drink blood because it is a source of power. Much like meditation, frequent sex, Jolt cola, or sword combat. Okay... I may have gone a little off-track but you see what I mean. Blood is a source of power, as are many other things, and like the other sources, anyone can enjoy the benefits if they choose to.

i have to agree with bloodthirsty.darkseed, you cant prove vapires dont exist just as others cant prove they do. but that doesnt mean you have to be ignorant of others and their thoughts. plus vampires were not made up by the modern population, they have been "around" for thousands of years and in hundreds of civilizations. so if there are not true vampires, than there must have been something behind them to start such tales in so many places. but who knows, thats what these things are for. to find out info from different people. :icon12:
