the rumor began from the ancient chinese that believed that they watched over their great god in the sky and that the dragons would forever keep the protected by mythilogical beast that never in this world existed but we all beleive in our own things.

yes there are dragon gods i am ot really sure of there names or orgin but u asked if we ever heard about them.

i know there are a lot of dragon and dragon gods like they said before in china if my memory doestn fail me there were in there four god dragons but for others cultures like the celtas i think there were even more, like nine i gues some of them were the ligth dragon the lava or fire dragon the green dragon protector of dragon kwonladge im not sure but if you want i can search for all of them and tell you what was supose they do
