What is actually thought of as a vampire? How would you descibe them? Are they merely stuff of legend? A myth made to scare children @ nite? Something created during wars to invoke fear? Are they real or just merely a facade? What are your views?

Being on a site where more then majority are or concider themselves vampires and asking if they're a myth may seem to be a little dull; however im not judging you. Vampires have been around for centuries, They have and do excist and will continue to, humans crave power, everlasting life and deep down everyone has a dark side, vamprism brings out the best in everyone, its a desire that everyone wants and its only natural, believe in them. Wether you choose to or not, they excist. if you believe them to be scary that's how they'll appear, if you believe them to be brothers, you never know.

When I first arrived to this forum, I didn't beleive at all in vampires, I thought they were a legend, after a while and some real life experiences, I discovered they do exist, but don't let people fool you, there is a big difference between being a vampire and living like one, there's alot of useful info in this forum, take a look around and you'll know most things you want to, I guarantee it.

vampires are mear legends not meant to be brought into the realworld because if the power that which was brought her by imagination got loose then the world would be one kayotic place but then again people dont care about the well being of others

I appreciate your comments, as well as everyone elses. I was not simply asking if vampyres are myths, i was merely asking other opinions on vampirism as a whole. I appologise if my question seems somewhat dull! :icon6:

Vampires have been around since the beginning of time and my opinion is that we are born vampires and then find out our destiny or future is to be a vampire,though this is my opinion I believe what I'm saying is true.

vampyres are real. throughout the history of time, people have seen many strange, inexplainable things. people would be buried, and when they opened the tomb, the fingernails had grown, the hair was longer, and sometimes, there was fresh blood on their lips. if this isn't a true sighn of vampirism, then what is? many people have also seen tall dark figures roaming around at night vampirically.
one more question: if vampyres arent real, then why do so many insist that they are real? why do people believe that they themselves are vampyres?
a simple answer: there are real vampyres.

Interesting point....I admit that in throughout history a great many things have been realised, found and seen, that can not be explained or understood. As for vampyres - well, there will and has always been vampyres. Nothing in this world or anyother can change that fact. People can accept/believe this or not. I will not force my beliefs upon others, they must make up their own mind!! :icon6:

Making you own personal meaning about these "topics" is crucial to how you see the world in the future, therefore I shall not bore you with my knowledge... I will, as always, keep what is mine for now.

But stating that vampires, and other beings of supernatural or magical nature are excisting, is just merely also going to provoke others to say there meanings on this subject...
