I am currently formulating a case study that aims to show the links between Vampire culture and Homosexuality. I have recently started this study and unearthed a few similarities, but I would appreciate the input of people who have an interest in this phenomenom. What are your thoughts on this subject?

Gay vampires? I don't think so.

Personally I've noticed a collaboration between rebellious youth who are of alternative sexuality for the fashion of it, and those who will claim things like being a vampire. So, perhaps you're on to something, but I doubt it's supernatural.

After all, wouldn't it be the ultimate way to rebel against the trappings of mom and dad? "Mom, Dad, I have sex with members of my own gender, and I drink tiny amounts of blood and call myself a vampire." The reaction they get would be exactly what they want.

I do not think I have noticed any particular tie. But, an increase in bisexuality, yes. Especially with women more so than men (which is more common in regular society anyway). But I've definately heard of homosexual vampires. It's also interesting how it transcends race as well, but i guess that isn't what you are looking for.

Absolutely no relation. Yes a vampyre can be gay but that has nothing to do with them being a vampyre.
