Oy...easy now.
Being a vampire, in the sense we are talking about here in Modern Vampires, has nothing to do with the undead. These are perfectly normal, breathing humans, except they drink blood. They are not superhumans in any way, at least not in any degree that anyone has been able to prove. Although all options are to some extent possible.
Being very much non-vampiric, I only have the stories of theother members here to jdge by, but to my knowledge, being a vampire is in many ways similar to being diabetic. Your body needs blood for some reason, like a diabetic needs insulin. It's closer to a medical condition, as they report about physichal symptoms when they don't get blood.
Of course, don't take my word as gospel. Never expect anyone to tell you the whole, full truth, they rarely do. We all have our own view of the world.
But becoming a vampire through a magic ritual, I think that's a long reach. Altering your own physichal form to that extent would take experience, skill and power that I suspect you don't yet have...or I doubt you would have asked. Magic don't work like in the movies. ;)
so i need to be diabetic to be one vamp ? i have a subnutrition in my blood ... i need calcium ... and proteins too ....
