Consumed, you have started two topics that could arguably be the same. But anyway, you may drink blood because it tastes nice, it's erotic, you think you're a vampire (bah!) or you want AIDs and can't think of a better way to contract it.

Yes, a little more research on your part will save a lot of frustration and stray obscenities on everyone else's part. It seems clear to me that you are not a Sanguinarian. People that drink blood that are occultists generally do so because of their religious beliefs and rituals. People that drink it because they like the taste of it or find it erotic are fetishists. People who drink it because they get ill, irritable, or weak without it (also usually contract terrible headaches as well) are known as sanguinarians or, for lack of a better term but I tend to like it, vampires.

The aztecs believed if you drank th blood of a person you would gain their strengths.They also had the belief of if you ate a certain body part of an enemy my you would gain thiere strengths also ( if you eat the legs on a sprinter, you would be able to sprint too). Many canabalistic cultures had the same belief. But when it comes to why modern people drink blood, they are usually delusional people obsessed with vampirism. But thats just my opinion. :yikes000:

i find myself agreeing with Lord Miramar wholeheartedly. Blood carries your life, your nutrients, your genetic identity. If you lose it you get ill or die. People may have 'feelings in their blood' be 'blue-blooded' or 'cold-blooded'. It's seen as the essence of life, and it's taboo - which is always attractive.

The reason some (like me) drink blood is because it tastes good and some because it simblizes imortality. :lol:

Chinese people do eat pig's blood, but that does not make them vampires.
You just put pig's blood in a bowl, then they turn into jellies, which are pretty nummy to eat.

And you know, blood puddings are traditionally made with blood, so are some sausages :P So in a way, we eat blood but we might not know it eh?

I like drinking blood once in a while because it tastes good and (sadly) makes me feel special. Serious. I know that sounds pathetic but I guess I must have this underlying belief that if I drink enough, eventually I will become something different. Which is absolute self-therapy but it's good to do the occassional evaluation. :)=

I have always loved the taste of blood. but for me its not just the taste. once i drinks someones blood i want it all. its an addiction to me... kinda like alcohol is to some people. for me its intoxicating and i cant live without it.

I know this is an old topic but get this, I am a vegetarian for the most part. I don't like the taste of meat. But if I don't drink blood I get sick. I get severe headaches, I feel dizzy, ache all over. Am I saying I'm a vampire - no. I don't care to label myself. I don't really care. I just know what makes me feel physically better. Why do people drink BLOOD? you ask???? I guess everyone has a different reason.

Strangely enough vamps do not produce platelets in the blood so if we do not drink to replentish the platelets we will die in other words we dont produce red blood cell and that is the reson most not all are pale in complection and have hollow eyes when pull not drink blood the fangs work just like a shrenge there are tiny holes in the teeth beside toward the front of the cainine teeth when we pull in a sucking motion we are pulling the platlets (red bloods cells) out of the blood of the victom straight in to the blood system which most vamps have a artery conected to that tooth i was talking about erlyer the rest wich is water and plasma is swallowed and absorbed by the body as minerals and is why we realy dont need to lay in our countries dirt to heal (coffen) for those who have no idea what i was talking about . the blood passes threw the brain wich puts off a chem.

Same. Once you drink or eat something very genrally, you become a bit dependant. It's definitly like an energy shake, minus that crappy taste. I personally like blood for it's taste, but also for what it symbolizes. I'm big on symbology.
