This is a very frequent question to this board, so it may be you don't get too many responses simply because it comes up so often.

Simple answer: no. That's a function of Hollywood. The nearest thing to actually being an 'Undead' vampire is to follow a vampiric lifestyle.
One could argue that you can have a vampire's 'spirit' inside of you, drink blood, wear sunglasses etc but thats about as close as you can get to being a Real Vampire of the sort you read about and see on TV. Purely my opinion of course.

If you have a read around of these forums you'll find lots of other people feel the same way you do about the vampire concept, that's why we're here really. Few of us have answers but are always up for discussing it.

I'll make you a vampire...But you have to be prepared to let it all go...I don't think you could. I don't think you even know what that means.

Vore I doubt that most do understand, the glamour and the glitz of what they think being a vampire is blinds them into thinking that being put in that situations (talking about RLVs and/or HLVs) would be fun and would make them cool.

On another note; no one can "turn you" and or "make you" a vampire. You are what you are, what you are lacking; it is so for a reason.

First thing you said was true Azriela but not the second...Every person is a dozen different people every week each one with it's own language...The individual finds themselves the centre of a vast universe of labels and personas that can all belong to them.

It's very easy to change someone...but not to change them back.

As Azriela said, you can't be made a vampire, I think you may had to be born that way to be one...

The thing with vampires is, the movies ad comics made them a bit false, and exagerated...

I have to question you, Vore. Why would you lead this person on? To the youth who posted the question...spend more time finding out who you are--invest in your life rather than seeking something that is completely fictional. Anyone read J. Vazquez? The Big Wonderful Book of Unspeakable Horrors? One story in it had a teenager longing to be a vampire, wishing so hard that a Vampire came to him and agreed to make him a vampire as well. The joke was on the youth--he turned into a horrid troll-like creature with tusks, not fangs, who smelled constantly of cabbage. And he was now immortal, living as this ugly, non-fearful creature--the complete opposite of what he wanted.

Let's just pretend vampires are real for a moment. Who knows what they look like or how they live or anything! How do you know what you seek? Hollywood has given us a romantazied answer.

Mmmm, that I understand but we are not talking personality and self representation here, we are talking about a lifestyle; one where he/she claims to be a vampire, wants to be a vampire. For most of them who ask to be turned it is about the label and the glory as you said but in terms of real life chage from a mundane to a HLV or anything close can only be promoted so much by outside influences. No matter how bad people want you to change the ultimate decision maker when it comes to your life is you.



That is the point; no one can become what vampires are fictionally portrayed to be. The can pretend, and how they do pretend but they can never truly be; not in the hollywood; Anne Ricean sense.

Who are any of us to even say that Vampire's don't exist , they just might live , breathe , and exist on this earth without our knowing it , or it could all be a medievil fairy tale ... Though young inquiree I don't believe anyone here is endowed with such true power ...

I would also like to become a vampire in the fictional sense, and if possible, to really become a living dead vampire, however I don't find it likely to find a living dead vampire that would allow me to speak to him, nor even know that he was a vampire, but I don't think anyone, even if I did find a real one, would make me of their childer and give me the eternal embrace, taking the role of my sire. I don't find that likely ever to happen to me. I find most of you say you don't believe in tha actual existance of vampires, however I do believe they exist, and I think there is enough evidence for me that they do.

Has anyone noticed that like the development of the sword, almost all parts of the world have legends and myths about vampires and vampirism, however none socially aknowledge this. Is it fiction? or is it fact?

Vampires may exist, the word "vampire" could be a religion or following of some sort. Its like witches, they follow the religion of wicca, it could be something different with vampires.

well if you are sure about wanting to become you should ask yourself one more question do you want to live a life of relying on others for your own personal well being if so maybe (though i don't knw how it works in romainia ) you should put an add in the paper offering to donate your blood and then talk to a local vampire about your desires. jsut an idea.

They might be real, for all you know. We're not omnipotent, we don't have all the answers, and chances are we never will. Scientists didn't believe in the platypus either, even when they could see and touch it, they thought it was some kind of trick. The human brain is great like that, if we see something that seems too fantastic to be true, our brain will more often than not generate scenarios where it isn't true, and reasons why it can't be.

But, unfortunately, it's impossible to prove beyond the shadow of doubt, that there are no vampires. We can believe, theorize, assume, but never know.

There is not a consumers division, telling you what the ups and downs are, of each stile of any said kind of vampire virus, so you don't know what your getting into.
There is new evidence, on the web, that hidden vamp communities have reengineered themselves, so there is politics in this measure.

Hey, Clearwitch, I have to thank you for your post. As Meatros pointed out for us several times, you cannot prove a negative. It is impossible to prove that vampires do not exist, even if you can find evidence that they are unlikely. A lack of proof is not proof of a lack, right?
Until vampires are proven to exist, the discussion is still open, and always will be. Some people might not believe, and that is fine. That's their prerogative. But that doesn't mean they're right. And the skeptics cannot be proven right, they can only argue that they are probably right.

OTOH, I am getting kind of tired of that FVZA site. That thing just makes easy target for skeptics to laugh at. It's silly that it is still up.

I would advice you though, be careful who you believe, not everyone are telling the truth at all times. The FVZA site may look impressive, but upon xcloser look it is labelled as an "entertainment" site. On that note...how do we know that isn't just a decoy to keep the masses from looking closer? Hiding in plain sight...

Note to moderators: Please close or delete any threads of this nature. This forum will not entertain this type of question being asked. Nor will it answer the question " Am I a vampire ? " in it's various forms. ( "What's happening to me?", "I'm turning ...", etc.. )

To everyone else, in threads discussing vampires please keep in mind the following advice. Keep an open mind, or don't participate. It's equally as annoying for someone to reply with " Vampires are not real " as it is with those who claim " Vampires are real! " Both are equally unnecessary, if not accompanied with sound discussion and reasoning behind your statements.

I do not tolerate mockery and ridicule in the "vampire" subforums. Never forget this. If your purpose here is for that reason, you are treading on dangerous ground and will not be invited back. Do not joke about it here.
