I just finished Stephen King's novel 'Insomnia', and though it has no direct connections to vampirism (actually does use the word 'vampire' once), I think it is very strongly connected to the concept, especially for energy vampires. I think that this book may interest many energy vamps, and a lot of others, so if you've read it, be sure to reply and let me know if you agree. Thanks!

I didn't find any connections to vampirism in this book, not even psi vampirism. The beings in the story harvested souls but did not feed from them in any way shape or form. Unless of course you are referring to the third entity that was harvesting souls before their time but even it did not feed from the souls or trinkets it kept.

I'm referring more to the way the two main characters who were seeing the "auras" were able to steal energy from unsuspecting mortals, and it in result made them younger and stronger. There was one point where the main character even referred to himself as a vampire... I myself am not a psi vamp and don't know much about it, but what they did in this book kind of summed up my impression of it. Please let me know if I'm wrong, and what you think.

Ralph and Lois are in some ways vampires in that they prey on othersenergy for their own benefit, other than that they arent vampiric in any sense. I must point out however that in The Dark Tower series The Crimson King is the main villain. This story is just a branch in a much larger story pertaining to Roland of Gilead and his quest to reach the Axis of all worlds and prevent its total annihlation from the crimson king... :fspider:
Lamia Vampyre
is that a good book?

YES! the dark tower, series is defentally worth reading, I am on the last book the dark Tower, and beleive it or not, at the part wehre I am insomnia is mentoned and if very important in the plot. The point being that the entire subject could be related to vampires, the crimsion king, obvisouly feeds off of peoples pain, and he uses the souls collected to feed breakers to destroy the worlds. But in all things if you want lines to be drawn they will be.

I have to concur with Fear on this one; i found no inferance to vampirism (direct or otherwise). The book is very good though.
