This is the Classicals section, where anyone can come forward and tell their story without fear of mockery or censure. We realize that this does sometimes lead to fantastical claims (some people have claimed to be Christ, others have claimed to be supernatural immortal beings) but we also think it's important to have a space where people can do this.
I for one share the frustration of people who think that by allowing this to continue, it injures the board's credibility and is just plain stupid and annoying. All I can say is: if you don't think someone's for real here in Classicals, feel free to ask questions, as many honest questions as you can. False saviors and vampires will hang themselves with their own rope; it's not up to us to play hangman.
If you're truly frustrated, you can start another thread or ask questions. But please, play nice. Err on the side of restraint. If someone can plug in a computer and manage to log into the board, chances are they won't believe in an Internet guy who says he's Jesus or Muhammed or anyone else, including an immortal ageless bloodsucking fiend. And I'll say this right now: if you really feel there is a dangerous problem or poster in the Classicals section, PM me and I will take responsibility for seeing it dealt with and bringing it to the proper authorities. Or, you can hit the Report button and the Admins will see it. It's up to you.
All that being said, I'd caution everyone to use a little restraint here, at least until we come up with another solution to this difficult ethical problem of what constitutes free speech here in this section of the board. Please?

About claiming to be Christ. That wasn't me was it? I used that argument once but my memory seems to be lacking at severly the wrong moment, and I'm a teenager, I'm so screwed when I hit old age.
Dear Throne, I don't believe it was you. And even if it was, it's no big deal here in Classical, which is meant to be a sort of confessional booth.
As for losing your memory, I'm nearing thirty and can barely remember my own name. But with age also comes cunning, so I guess there's a trade-off. :)

I applaud you Lili for being so enlightened. Of course I have my doubts anyone will fess up and raise a hand for being immortal... but that's fully understandable. Belief in vampires is similar to beliefs in religion it takes faith. And while some of us prove again and again our faith in things yet to be seen, there will always be those who call it impossible. May those of you who believe continue to do so and those that don't, enjoy your ignorance I've heard its blissful. This is something I say not only in regards to vampires of any existence but also to any form of faith our posters put stock in.

That was lovely, and I'm glad to hear that some have respect for others on this board. If one comes to this section only to discriminate, that should be dealt with. I beleive that beings are what they beleive they are.
Oh, and I do not want to hear any more mention of trailer parks as an insult.

Guys, this is not the place to debate Jesus (try Controversy for that) or Christianity and Vampirism (there are threads in Lore & Bloodlust for that.) This thread is simply to remind people to keep a hold on their temper when they are replying to posts in Classical- despite any fantastical claims a poster might make.
To reiterate my position and the subject of this thread: Classical is a forum for people who think they have seen a real-life vampire, or for people to tell their supernatural stories without fear of censure. It is not a place for flamewars or inappropriate behavior like threatening your fellow posters.
While I understand the frustration of those of us dealing with fantastical claims, it's still our duty to provide a clean forum on the off chance that one day a real live (or undead) bloodsucking immortal will want to communicate- or on the off chance that someone will give irrefutable proof of the existence of such through an encounter described in this forum. That would indeed be a day for celebration.
Unfortunately, providing a clean forum for discussion of such things naturally draws people (or beings) who feel the need to make incredible proof-less claims that drive the more logical and discerning of us straight up the wall. This is a risk we run in Classicals. There's no help for it but keeping our temper and playing by the rules.
With all that said, I look forward to new posts in Bloodlust, Lore, & Controversy! The subject of vampirism vs. Christianity is a very intriguing one, almost as intriguing as the history of Christianity itself. But here in Classical, we can't discuss that.
On a more personal note: Thank you, Throne, for trying to be nice. I appreciate it. Feel free to drop me a PM if the frustration gets too hard to handle or you see anything you feel is dangerous in Classical. I have a vivid dream of a past life where lots of details about my old ways family and language come to me i was in that life a vampriss named (michalynia) micha and have in this life re awakened and started to remember different things about the past roughly 3000 years ago or so thank you lilly for offering a plase to express this
