Hello everyone. I'm really new this site but I'm hopeful that I can find what I'm looking for here. I'm looking for the truth about a race of Carpathian's. This race is very old maybe even older than the Vampire's. Let me start my telling you a little about these people. I'll start with the males .

The males loose all abity to feel any kind of emoticons and the ability to see in color after a couple of years, and the darkness in them keeps growing, begging and pleading for them to feel something. If these males don't find their life mates ( the light to their dark side) then they turn into what I think is really a horrid Vampire.......

I think these ideas would make for a good Novel. Many profound lessons can be taught through the medium of fiction.

I read something about this at
Christine Feehan's Website. It is indeed very intriguing, she's a very lovely author and a nice person. Thanks for pointing that out, DarkPassion!

I think we have a few people who've published around here. But mostly, I believe we're just readers.

I love Christine Feehan. Her work is amazing. About the existance of Carpathians. I dont quite know I soppose anything is possible. For all I know I could be one although I would be a mere fledgling. Anyway I own the entire series. Lucian is by far my favorite.
Im working on a peice right now. I have yet to be published. Heres the beginings to a prolouge to a FanFic of the Dark Series.
Purity in it's truest and finest form. The night. No past. No future. Just the here and the now. His domain. His undisputed territory. Watchful eyes look out to the horizon of the Pacific. Eyes that had seen too much. Haunted. Lonesome. Cold. Dead. Those eyes will forever be burned into my mind. Those slashing, mesmerizing, and dangerous eyes. Obsidian. The only word that comes to my mind when describing those eyes in the spectrum. Black volcanic glass.
The winds carries from across the waves the scents of distant lands. It whispers to him its stories. Each separate aroma tells a tale. He inhales deeply taking the in the story of peoples lives. ------
He stands there for hours it seems. His stillness complete. Looking upon the never ending horizon. His heart is heavy. Nye dead. The moment she passed from this world into the next his soul and heart were torn from his body. A man set apart from the world. A man of sorrows. No shoulder to weep on. No way to express his grief at her passing. No one.
So he waits and watches. He will not seek the welcoming arms of the earth. This night he seeks eternal rest. Absolution from his pain. To be freed from this physical world into the last thing left to him. The unknown reaches of oblivion. What is death to a man who has no life left in him? Death is the salvation from the never ending torment of separation.
And so he stands here. On this cliff in California waiting the welcoming embrace of the sun. He seeks the dawn.
At the twilight of his existence you meet him but what of this mans life? What of those he changed? Those he saved? And those he condemned? What of this woman who in her departure form this corporeal tread has left him desolate and alone? What about him? I will tell you. I will tell you of the great man known as The Right Hand of God. Of Viktor Teristanov. Savior of the mortal world. And my father.

That's not bad. I like the tension in the piece.
I'm both: published and an avid reader, and I must admit Feehan's books are one of my biggest guilty pleasures. There's nothing like a hot bath, a glass of red wine, some very dark chocolate, and a Feehan novel. Sigh!
Yum.

I am a coven leader and I have heard of these vampires, not so much of their vampire curse but we ancients see them moving all the time we,know of where their blood comes from, they got their blood through kin in upper gaul area and it past to them through pirates but it begins in egypt. We call them vampires of old europe or old classical vampires,or middle aged vampires. They stick together sometimes sending spies to watch people and tell them of the outside world. They are beautiful, powerful and gentlemenly.I personally give them a hello and respect through the vamp channel, called our connection to one another through the vampirism.I'm sure these are the vampires you speak of.

Um, Emul, of course you know that there was no mention of these beings before Feehan started publishing her books? Not in folklore, mythology, or anywhere else?

Well sincerely in Romania...(Dracula`s country) there are some really nasty creatures.. and they are called romanians...really i advice you never to come into this country.... unless you`re going into the mountains....who knows perhaps there is this race there... or something worse.

Is there a possiblity that I could maybe meet one. I have always heard that they were excellent lovers very passionate. I wish that I could have one as my own. But I doubt it. I wish I could meet one of you creatures of the night. I would offer freely my blood for one of you to come to me at night. I would love to see the coves and places that you all gather too. Somehow my spirit yurns for the night. I hate the sunlight it has always hurt my eyes and skin. Please one of you great leaders respond. The nights call me all the time but I am locked up and can't get out. I am practially desperate.

If you read Christine Feehan's books, you'll realize that they are good fictional lovers. The way she writes about them, it seems that everyone is very well learned in the love making :)
It's a good way to stop the wanting to get out, read books, learn about fiction and nonfiction, it helps in the long run to be satisfied with what you're doing :)

Excellent point, Draquilas. I myself ana huge fan of Feehan's work, I lock myself in the bathroom to take a hot bath and drink a glass of wine with one of her books at least once every six months. Nothing better for a relaxing break, I say.

i have to say that alought after reading these books, I was radically changed simlar to ann rice, or bram stroker.
they ar fiction (with out any proof) to support them, thas all they can be right?
I believe and read all, but like christianity, catholicism, hindu, etc, it has become a popular fiction. recent movies, tv shows, etc righ? buffy, interveiw with a, john carpenters, dracular 2000, dusk till dawn etc.
but after watching unbreakable (no connection to vampries) it makes you see that throught modern fiction that true can exist. (although slightly diluted)
garlic, crosses dont mean sweet f a. but.... sunlight, a stake thought the heart (common any onemight die due to this) fire (again being burnigh might be fatle) etc.
with out a difinitive truefly guide its dificult but....
be safe and be perpared.
