I was wondering if anyone in here watches BTVS? I personally love the show, I've watched it since it first aired in England. Especially Since season 6 I 've had an intrest in Vampires and want to know more about them , only I don't know any in real life, so I wanted to know are the vamp's in Buffy an accurate representation of real vampires or are they purely Stereotypical?

I guess there not "spot on" but, I'm only 14 so I don't figure I know much about them anyway.....

What can I say that movie in my opinion sucks... what I mean is that the supergirl slayer story bites big time and about you or enybody else seeing a vampire it is a just a myth...keep dreaming.
Prince

the movie sucked but we are talking about the series, and please, keep your opinions on whether vampires are real to the appropriate forum?

The movie was stupid, but it was meant to be a comedy. Joss Whedon didn't get as much control over the movie as he wanted, so when he was asked to do the series, he changed a lot of things. The series is much better. I love the show, and the spinoff, and I own the movie. As for whether the vampires are real or not, I don't think he was trying to adhere to any particular mythos, he made HIS vampires fit into HIS world, which they do...

Does anyone else like it? I think it is very useful in learning the moves of our enemy. I use it as a training tool, I learn from the mistakes of the vampires Buffy slays. Anyone else?

Yeah. And I like to look up her skirt. She's hot for a bloodbag. I'd turn her into my concubine if I could work up the nerve to say anything to her.

Kidding aside, I actually do really like Buffy, awesome programme. Such brilliant acting and storylines. My favourite series is probably 2, Spike is far better as a villain. I also quite liked 4. One of my fave episodes was Once More With Feeling, that was great. Listen to the soundtrack all the time.

I'm buying the boxsets at the moment. I have to import from America though, as they are quite expensive over here. Sky do repeats every week day at 6:00pm, I'm happy with that at the moment.

yeah I watched buffy until it went off the network. My roommate got me hooked on it my freshman year in college. She's a whore for doing that to me....it's such a girly show to watch but I watch it. I have seen all of the 1st and 2nd seasons. bits and parts of the 3,4,5 and all of the 6th. ^_^

I loved Buffy, i was really shocked when they anounced that the show was being cancelled, i mean Buffy was the show that kicked off most of the actors careers.

Yeah, for my sins I am a Buffy fan. I've seen every series all the way through & even met a couple of the actors from the show - James Marsters (Spike) and Amber Benson (Tara) - both of whom were pretty cool.
I think overall, my favourite season was series three. It had the best line up of characters, apart from not having Spike, it had the best baddie - The mayor kicked ass! And of course it had Faith... Need I say more?

I like the Show and was pissed when the series ended. I watch Angel its pretty cool, but some episodes are a little dumb, and plus Spike is part of the show now too, Spike kicks ass.

Okay so all I heard for months before Buffy 7th seasoned aired was how Joss Weadon was going to take it to a more happy tone and lighten up a little. I have just recently atualyl sat down and started to watch the 7th and season and the entire time I am crying in every single episode! This is idea of being lighthearted. All this season has been is tears and serious, and more tears and heartbreak and death! Uhg....I am so confused.

I dunno, Spike's attempt to dress up as Angel and act like him for an entire episode to impress Buffy was pretty damn amusing.

well it wasn't really "lighthearted" but atleast not as depressing as Season 6 was.
Funniest character was Andrew, he was truly hilarious the whole season.

Yes Yes, there were funny parts. But I think it was far more depressing opver all then the 6th saeson. The saddest part of that season weas the last parts. The 7th season was so sad through everything minus some small comical things, (Andrew and others) Still

Of course, I used to have Roswell, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Andromeda, in the list but now those are all cancelled shows.
Wait, wait, I just wanted to focus on one of those.
Did they cancel Buffy for real this time, or will it be starting again next season?
Shadout
Jan 17 2006, 04:03 PM
Buffy won't be returning to our screens unfortunately, Joss Whedon is a movie man now, he's had too many shows cancelled in the past to start making any more. Besides, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan are probably too big a star now to commit to a whole season of a tv show.

I love Buffy and Angel. Those were my favorite shows when they were still on. Now I watch the dvds. I hope they come out with a Spike movie like they planned. They probably won't though. Still, it would be nice.

I absolutely adore BtVS. I used to be in this phase where everything was linked to Buffy, or Angel. Kind of sad really, but I still love the show. Angel one of the hottest tortured soulds ever! And Xander, he's completely bad ass. Along with most of the other characters. I heard they're starting an eight season through Anime.
