I wonder if scientists could make a human into a vampire.
You know how when they clone something they start from a cell or somethin like that?
What if they injected the cell with attributes of DNA that would give the human vampire-like qualities.
So when the baby is born it will have canines, and thirst for blood. The point for injecting the DNA before the human is even a fetus would be so the fetus wont reject the DNA being inserted into it.

That would be interesting.
Prince
i really do not think it would be allowed, it would be like injecting some kid with cystic fibrosis or something
Jean-Claude
of course it wouldnt be aloud. But do you think it would be possible?
Prince
if they figure out which chromosome and stuff causes vampirism then i suppose it could be possible
Upir Lichy
I trust you haven't heard of the K-17 experiment then?
Prince
i heard of it, just didn't think they went through with it *smiles*
Jean-Claude
no i have not heard of it. Since ignorance is not one of my strong qualities, i suppose i will try and learn more of k-17
Vampire_Wonderer
 K-17?? **thinks for a moment** Can someone please inform me on what

this K-17 experiment is? **looks at the ceiling thoughtfully**
Upir Lichy
^_^

Basically a group of scientists are trying to cause Vampirism...and to cure it....there was a whole big leak out of the documents and stuff....I got copies of it somewhere....though if you search hard enough there will probably be some info about it on the internet...
Prince
sounds like something i would try *laughs*

ok first, to chemically or genetically, alter someone to be the classic mythical vampire, you would have to alter the entire body, along with working on the mental development of said child, you know the whole fratured mind set of eating other people. second that k-17 stuff, come on you cant be serious? the idea that anyone would try to make a vampire seems awfully counter-productive, and anything you find on the net is more than likely untrue anyways.
Jean-Claude
Just a thought I had. Damn this science fiction mind of mine!

**smiles softly** So, saintsinner, are you saying that I shouldn't try and find anything

on the net about the K-17 experiment? unsure.gif

erm......... do you know what real vampires are like?

Genetics is a field that many researchers are just beginning to find the great uses for it, but realize the great repercusions it may bring. With genetics, you can mold anything to your hearts desire, even human. One reason why ppl are so hesitant to fully fund genetic projects dealing with humankind. Some "mad" scientist could intentionally or unintentionally create a new species.

People...people...

Even if you did that...with the child, He/she might not survive...to lets say 3-4 years, The K-17 virus is not fully "developed" as yet it develops along with the child to puberty...this is where it is fully activated *i.e. what studies show...in U.S.labs i.e.*

Lets say the child survives...the mental and physical strain also will be enough to "warp the child" probably disable him/her.

Even people who are vampyres, they do not all uundergo the awakening process...since they might not be ready or their immune sys might have been able somehow to surpress the virus. Also vampyrism can be said to bemoulded by the people around the child...

Remember its just like genetics and in genetics even though one person may be genetically identical, they might not always be physically identical or even closely mentally identical...same here for the virus...The effects on a person is not very...predictable...

Genetics is an exact science, its like a big puzzle, all the pieces haven't been found yet so the researchers just fill in the holes, they can't seem to find the piece that fits.
