Wondering who has seen this movie and what you thought of it. It's a classic and I saw it for the first time this past week. I never thought a PG movie could be so bloody, I was kinda shocked. I loved this movie, but it was so sad.
Nemesis Chylde
And now that you mention it, I'm going to download it. Right after I move this to the movie section. biggrin.gif
Sunshine
Hey, no fair.....stupid movie section.

The bunnies are so cute in that movie. And there's a trippy bunny. It's kinda funny.
*AngelOfDeath*
I didnt know they made a movie of it. It was a series for a while. I read the book(where it all came from) People are always surprised. oh,htye made a book of it now?! Idiots. The book is better. I cried twice :( No laughing or i will cut you... the poor ickle bunnies..
Sunshine
Don't worry, I cried a couple times. When the rabbit was grabbed by the hawk(I cried). And that song Bright Eyes made me cry. Fiver was sooooo cute. My boyfriend had to hold me and comfort me when Hazel died at the end. It was a really good movie though. I watched it atleast 6 times since I got it.

The book by Richard Adams is one of my favourites of all time, such a touching and moving story, even though it may sound childish to those who haven't read it. The film version is one of the best animations ever put together, personally I would take it over the plethora of CGI that is thrown up onto the cinema screens these days.

My lady cries every time she sees it, not my sort of flick though, at least i can console her!!
Episkopos
I was actually quite badly affected by the book when I was small. Scared the living bejavers out of me... the film's beautiful though. One of the few I won't let myself deconstruct - it genuinely would spoil the magic.
Grim_Faerie
Yeah I was quite badly affected by the book too.

The film made me cry and the evil rabbit freaked me out quite a lot, that and the black rabbit of death. :icon6:
Episkopos
Strangely enough it was the Black Rabbit that messed me up too. That and the warrens they encounter on their way to the Down - didn't they visit one that was plagueridden and described in absolutely 'orrible detail?
Horrormoviefreak
-Revives the thread-.

Okay this is really fucking wierd. ><;

!!!!! WARNING !!!!!
(Diz is actually going to show some emotion.)

This movie actually holds a LOT of emotion for me.
I originally read the novel when I was 8 when I got it out from the library near my house. I forget why I did, probably heard it mentioned somewhere, but I read it and remembered not absorbing it completely, but getting through it and enjoying it. The library also had the Movie Stills book with pictures of the movie and quotes and notes under each piece of footage. Even as a little kid I was totally awed by the art.
In 7th grade I read the book again when I saw it on the shelf at my school, loved it even more this time.
Just this past year I read it AGAIN, then rented the movie from Blockbuster, and was absolutely shocked. Some movies are just... so incredible. It's just indescribable for me. I love Fiver and Hazel and Hyzenthlay and all the rest.

And yes, big tough Dizzy was upset too with that song Bright Eyes. A few days after I saw that movie my pet rat Jello died and it was all I could do to keep it out of my head.

The movie's touching, adorable, shocking and incredible and I dare anyone on this forum to watch this movie and not cry. Any one of you. It has that kind of power. x).

It's the only movie I have ever seen that's reflected the book it was made after so wonderfully.

The animation is just so warm and exciting. Agh, I can't say enough good things about it.

It's been a long, LONG time since I've seen this movie. I rememer it when I was younger watching it with awe.

I need to go out and find myself a copy now just to refresh my memory.
PrincessofPain
