I used to love Clive Barker back in the early nineties and upset my friends a lot by wearing my Phinhead t-shirt for all occasions. Then sometime after "Everville" I got sidetracked and though I've still bought a few of his book they are still unread on my bookshelf because there's been so much other stuff that took priority. At the same time he also seemed to drop a bit out of the popular eye.

So I was curious if anybody in here had read his later books and if they were just as good as the old stuff?

Only works of his I've read are his Books of Blood volumes.

I read those too - quite incredible pieces of work at the time, unlike anything I had seen before.

I've never read any of Clive Barker's books, the Hell Raiser series was one of my favourite horror pieces. But I never thought to read any of his books I'll definantly have to pick some up on the next trip to the book store, any reccomendations for a first read?
