Ok I wanted to see what would happen if I posted this here!

Forgive me if someone else has already done this.

I've gotton to know some of the RPers now I'D like to meet some of the plethora of poets here.

Haiku is a Japanese verse form that relies on brevity and simplicity to convey its message.

It is usually three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, and frequently includes natural images or themes.

For Example:

Morning light appears (five syllables)
The new day has awoken (seven syllables)
Nature stirs and sighs (five syllables)

Here I will write the first Haiku and then you will pick a word from the haiku above yours and use it somewhere in your Haiku. Do not cop out by using non-discriptive words like the, and, if, they...

You can tell a syllable has been used if you hold your hand near your chin and count how many times you have to move your jaw down to pronounce a word.

I will start with a Haiku about the forums...

Strangers meet online
They share thoughts, dreams, ideas
Soon they become friends

((Its easy, really it is...))

Strangers in Darkness

Mine heart Black, Tired, Emptied now

Perhaps I'll take yours...

((I took a word from the last Haiku and built a new one. I know you can do this...))

Passing a shadow
I see into your spirit
All you hide from me

My spirt is strong

I share it with the hungry

It consumes my friends

The rule of friendship

that it is everlasting

sorrow knows no place

The thought of death

consumes me in life

but stay the same

reality hits

like like a storm in the morning

only rain, no sun

it hits us both

at the time of our death

is it real or plain

pain is what we know

life is what we think it is

it is subjective

Thought is subjective
We know only of emotion
everything else is death

death can not wait

it only comes when ready

than its time

Death is a release

A return to beginning

Food for a new life

release is painful

and pleasure is bittersweet

how does it come together?

Together we are
held in a final embrace
and to just exist

I exist to love

Without love I am Darkness

People tend to run from that

darkness is sultry

pain is intoxicating

love me, please love me

Feed on my heart beat

Tear what is left from my soul

It is all I have

Love is eternal
as immortal as this one
but one is alone

eternity's meant

for no one to have fully

i'll not ask for love

An eternity

For imortal love is'nt long

Once true love is found

Asking cannot take
what you desire the most
and leave one alone

I am so alone

anxiety fills me so

like a vat of oil

You are not alone
one can never be alone
when your dreams are real

Alone is the sea

But is she really alone?

With the shore holding her close?

the shore is my envy

the wave cary all the pain

the sand, my burden

Within her bosum

Lay a great power untouched

Let envy go, live

I’m hidden away
like the waves in the darkness
watching you in pain

Come into the sun

It will burn away Darkness

Start all over again

Burn to ash and soot
covering the earth and rocks
forever condemned

From the ash new life

Thriving on deaths nourishment

Exhillarating!

Starting finishing
the path is all you follow
death birth are equals

Rushing down the path

Freedom's too easily gained

For those without strength.

Most distiguished friends

On this path you give me hope

Beauty undeserved

Strength not power
no freedom to live in fear
life holds all beauty

Beauty is power

Otherwise why give such color

to helpless flowers

Light is beyond us
for colors are infinite
some we only feel

Infinate wisdom

Seen in all things created

The weak and the strong

Wisdom is a cage
that traps anothers deep faith
leaving them sightless

Faith is subjective

It has brought all the worlds pain

It should not be forced

Faith is all some have
belief in what is not there
darkness is their fear

Ignorance is death

Blind faith kills millions each year

Embrace love and live

thus to live in fear
casts a shadow on your heart
til its beats are still

I'll eat from your heart

Suck every drop of hot life

Leave no trace of pain

A puddle grows red
as sounds of drop after drop
echos down the hall

Quiet sounds echo

My heart emptied, devoured

Sounds of salty tears

Tears fall in ever grace
one longs for someone’s embrace
in ones forlorn place

Reach out to embrace

You will erode alone

Friends salve loneliness

All is alone here
always to exist apart
even in a crowd

Hidden in plain view
blending into moving crowds
I stand here alone

Most will hide themselves

In a place of darkest thought

Here freed from Judgement
