i know psi vamps feed to maintain their well being but why does our well being go down if we don't feed?
NightVision
My view is that a lot of them don't need to, it's just something they've always done.

But I think with some people they are prone to getting depressed or mentally and physically out of sorts if they don't. It's different for everyone.
darkvein
i guess that makes sense
escoban
u know how ppl tend to drink coffee?
well I do the same with psi, helps me be awake...

oh and I get somewhat depressed if I don't do it...
darkvein

When one awakens, the feeding becomes a drug. We need energy to sustain our powers, and, how you well put it: "to sustain our well being". It came recently (again) to my attention that as we grow in age, our powers evolve. I discovered two new things I can do, as projecting feelings into others and, how my darling called it, possesion, which appears as a projection of my energy in her body as she sleeps, embracing her all night. To sustain such powers, we need energy. As one practices and feeds, his powers grows, but so does his hunger for energy. To feed is to fill up the soul, the spirit, the essence - the same essence that we use when we donate, when we play with the energy.

how do u become awakened???
ReVamp3d
I dont think an awakening can be induced really. It's rather like a second puberty

In theory, all humans are vampires. Some are natural, being born with the lust and the powers of a kindred. Some never awaken. Most humans never realize the power they have, others never obtain it, never pull it out. The psi around here are the ones that awakened on their own, realizing what they are and can become. I was partially like them, looking for answers, sensing the change, but not knowing what it was. After some documentation I received, I can state that psi can be awaken by someone else. I was somewhat/somehow and so are other 3 I helped awaken so far... The way you do it, I cannot explain. It's against my moral code - I only reveal such truths to deserving individuals.

so.. im not a disserving individual

No so far... To teach one to be a psi, to awaken one, is to let him in on secrets. Dangerous ones. For all I know you could be a very powerful psi with an unstable personality. After my late disappointments I choose my "kids" very very carefuly...

lol........ i assure you. i do not have an unstably personality plz. help me

I personally disagree with the whole "awakened" theory. Any, and every (or well, let's say most) human(s) has the capabilities to "feed" off of ether/aether/chi/qi/orgone/psi energy (or whatever you choose to call it). Some consciously build up on their learnt abilities whilst others just naturally "leech" off others, without their knowing even. This "awakened" theory as far as I'm concerned, is a poor attempt by the psi-vamp subculture of trying to keep their subculture somewhat esoteric, plus if you notice like anything leaning on the "darker" side of things, it needs an extra little bit of dark-fluff to make it more ominous. Which I don't blame them, if everyone ran around doing what they do, it would definitely lose it's allure. Anyway, the feeding process mainly involves visualization, and the manipulation of bio-energies, both of which can be learnt! I won't even begin to go into teaching you how to manipulate bio-energies in this post, but trust me it's easy enough, it just takes alot of practice.

Now as to why psi-vamps feed?

Well, the actual "need" is still in question, I think the "need" is mostly just their bodies getting obsessed with the vitalizing effects of feeding (Escoban's associating "feeding" with coffee, is a good example). It seems to liven you up a bit, it might make you get this tingly sensations, or give you waves of warmth flowing over you, perhaps light sensations located at certain chakras, etc. But there are other ways to raise energy without feeding off of others (The middle pillar ritual is a good example). Some energy-vamps claim that the energy of humans is more potent/richer then other energies, giving them a more noticeable effect, but that's neither here nor there. Obviously after feeding on others to boost their energy levels, a psi-vamp will feel weaker, less-energetic, etc., if he/she doesn't feed, after getting into habitual feeding routine. And like any addiction, cold-turkeying it will only yield uncomfortable side-effects for a while. Do they need to feed to survive? No. They didn't need before they begain consciously feeding, they don't now, it's primarly for the positive side-effects of feeding in my experience.

I explained why we feed. We don't need to in order to survive, but to enhance our abilities and train our psi powers. Yes, every human can manipulate energy. It's written that in any human resides a vampire, may it be psi or sang. The awakening however is the period of time in which a human becomes attracted to his true nature: psi or sang. The humans that don't awaken are either very weak psi, either natural vampires that already feed conciously or not. But for the ones in the middle, the psi puberty is real and goes by the name 'awakening'. And trust me: being a vampire has nothing to do with being dark. I choose to walk in the night, yet there are daywalkers that feed very well and use their powers during the day. It's ironic - I met one last night.

My guess is that its just a part of your being. Now that I think of it, its sort of like a deficiency. Possibly, its just the inabillity to maintain your own energy, and so must seek others energy to keep yourself alive.
