Does anyone have any favorite Samhain celebrations/spells? I personally like the candies quite a bit (of course) but my favorite Samhain celebration involves a long guided meditation about the Horned One going down into the underworld; He acts as a guide to the meditator, who can converse with dead loved ones and meditate on mortality. It's always a profound experience.

Other traditions I enjoy are the "dumb suppers", where you set a table for a dead loved one on Halloween. I also have a new spirit board I'm looking forward to using this year.

I like a little release ceremony My old High Priestess came up with using a small cauldron with a candle in it and Illusionist's Flash Paper. You write on the paper what you will be releasing before the coming year and then when you're ready you hold the corner of the paper to the tip of the candle flame and POOOOF!!!!! Up it goes, gone forever!
